The Greatest Showman Reviews
The critics are more accurate than so called audience reviews. It's a boring musical with one good song. The whole tone feels fake and forced. I don't relate to any of these characters
This is such an amazing film, grate costumes and even more amazing soundtrack
Nice singing but not so much in storytelling
I love this movie. I love every single song. The scene with Hugh Jackman and Zach Efron when they're in the bar is amazing. I loved how they choreographed that and just love both of them. I have rewatched this movie over 30 times.
I never look to Hollywood to be educated, only entertained. And The Greatest Showman came through with flying colors. If there is a fault, it is the over-promise, or perhaps misstated promise, that this movie would be a story about the life of PT Barnum. It clearly missed the mark there. But as for unadulterated fun, visual spectacle, toe-tapping and sing-along music, great characters and the feel-good message of finding your way in life, TGS soars. I laughed, I cried and I cheered. Let the critics pick their nits, but this is a movie I will watch over and over (yeah, I bought a digital copy) and gues what? The short "making of" videos in the extras made my $4.99 spend an even better bargain.
first, it's Hugh Jackman, second, is so fun and beautiful, the songs of this movie are so good!!! they milions of plays on spotify :D
The music was absolutely amazing. The characters were also amazing and it is heartwarming , fun and stunning 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Fantastic songs and dance. A musical that could have stood proudly amongst the old Hollywood greats.
Though the story is all over the place, The Greatest Showman provides just enough spectacle and brilliant music to satisfy viewers with an incredible experience.
The greatest showman is the best musical ever to be created along side '' A Star is Born''. I am utterly heartbroken that this movie has only 56% rotten tomatoes. I am disappointed in this generation.
Really Enjoyable Film With A Fantastic Cast & Soundtrack But For Me It Was Hugh Jackman Who Stole The Show Once Again Great Performance From The Wolverine Star, Supporting Cast Also Did Really Well. Overall Really Fun And Enjoyable Film!
One of the most entertaining movies I have ever seen. The acting, and the music are 10/10. It's not a perfect movie, but what movie is? If you want to be entertained, just watch this movie again and again!
You treat this musical more as historical fiction than a biopic. It has a wonderful story, great music, and amazing acting. P.T. Burnam was a horrible man, but this is not a horrible movie, 8.3/10
The Greatest Showman is a very dazzling and entertaining musical adaptation of the life of a real-life historical showman, P.T. Barnum. The film features a more visually appealing and enjoyable presentation with sparkling performances from Hugh Jackman as the lead role, Michelle Williams, Zendaya, and Zac Efron. While it may seem cartoonish to some viewers, it’s a delightful treat for musical enthusiasts. Grading: B
The story of P.T. Barnum has been told in books, on stage, and in film. This movie hits the important events, and tells the story with music and dance. A bit bombastic throughout, but that makes sense given the man whose story is told.
I must have been watching a different movie than the critics, as it looks like a lot of folks on here felt. This show is about never giving up, even when others show you disapproval. It is about finding your niche and having confidence in yourself. It is not called a documentary or a biography it is a loosely based drama, as are many critically acclaimed movies. It is guaranteed to make you feel optimistic and uplifted. Sorry, critics-but I get tired of the movies you "love" that make me want to jump off a cliff.
Absolutely one of my favorite musicals of all time. Everything was incredible. The plot, character development, the story, acting was spotless. I really enjoy watching this movie whenever I want to.
I avoided this movie for years thanks to the critical pans. Then I saw and was blown away by Michael Gracey's "Better Man," so I was curious to catch up with all the millions of people who loved "The Greatest Showman." This movie has some obvious flaws that end up not mattering much. It's for anyone who values --excellent actors like Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, and Zach Efron successfully venturing far outside their comfort zones. --a supporting cast that is uniformly great and above all fun to watch. --direction, editing, and cinematography that are often stunningly imaginative and surprising, all in the service of emotion, comedy, and euphoria. --movies that are insanely entertaining and soulful. Michael Gracey, with typical Aussie go-for-broke exuberance, is reviving the musical. His movies are not to be missed.
This is become my favorite musical and best movie of all time❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I am unable to put into words how much I adore this movie. From the storyline to the hidden messages, everything is just perfectly placed and executed. I watch this movie atleast every two weeks and I can guarantee I’ll never get sick of it. Cinematic masterpiece, that touches the soul of those who view and understand it deeply. Each role is filled amazingly, and I genuinely cannot think of a greater film than this one.
