You can interpret anything into any movie if you want to. Didn't enjoy much about this movie apart from Liam Neeson, the ending and the setting in Alaska.

absolutely terrible movie. it’s basically just dudes getting tortured by wolves and “surviving” but no one survives. i’d give it zero stars if i could.

I didn’t realize the entire movie was about wolves eating the men. Very upsetting waste of my time. Extremely disheartening and not an inspiring tale at all. More like a horror film. The men survived so much after the plane crash, only to be picked one by one, by a pack of wolves. It’s like watching a boat wreck tragedy and the men miraculously survive, until they slowly meet their fate from aggressive sharks. It also shows these creatures as horrifying. It was a depressing film.

God, I thought the Kate Winslet Idris Elba plane crash movie was stupid, but this is 10 x more so. Obviously a genre sorely lacking. Can't tolerate.

It's a movie about death, how to deal with the end; accept it, fight it? The wolves and the setting are just a vehicle for that and an engrossing one. Different and very well done.

In the real world wolves avoid people like the plague. In this movie they’re depicted as fearless hunters that actively prey upon men. It’s a laughable portrayal and one I just couldn’t ignore.

Liam Neeson is a man with a certain set of skills, the movies tone is bleak, and the message is about retrospect and blehh, blehh its incredible predictable at all points. Its saving grace is the premise.

this movie is a joke, right? Nine Alaska Oil Rig Roughnecks can't find a stick, while lost in the forest of Canada, with a pointy end to defend themselves against the wolves? or use some of the sharp aluminum airplane wreckage to make a knife or sword? This was the stupidest movie ever made.

The movie is meant to show a man’s turn from hopelessness to fighting for survival. I know the wolf parts are exaggerated, but it’s a movie not a documentary. I love this movie. Is it bleak? Yes. Not all movies need to be Disney happy. A good movie leaves you thinking about what you just saw and how you would react in the portrayed situations.

Well, I DO like Liam quite a bit. The movie had it's moments. The pacing is decent, so you aren't bored to death, but the elements of the wolves are pretty exaggerated, of course. It's worth a watch if you have time but it's not gonna win any Oscars for screenplay, lol.

I usually love Liam, but this is not a very good movie. It had potential, but instead of being a true man vs nature film filled with excitement, it is slow, bleak, and overall depressing film filled with too many flashbacks, poor character decisions, and a completely unsatisfying ending.

The perfect casting, a fantastic story and great design. A group of people are left stranded and fighting for survival. Watch to end of credits! Note: I see some of the critics don't like how depressing it is or some of the characters actions. One suggests blocking themselves into an area and then do what die? He suggests climb a tree and do what die? He suggests make spears with what exactly would you bind the blades to the sticks with and how many knives do they have?

Bad plot. Not a single good decision made by the characters of the movie. Also, every fact said about wolves in this movie are just pretty much bogus. I like a lot of bad movies but this one is bad and i dont like it.

A cut above the usual survival film as it adds a layer of philosophy, and even a subtle spiritual aspect. The fact that its audience rating isn't higher may reflect on the fact it doesn't exactly have the usual happy ending, yet it's a much more poignant one. Liam's acting is superb as is the other cast. Tip: make sure and sit through the entire ending credits as at the end there is a final 5 second scene that improves the satisfaction of the ending.

A tremendous movie. Liam Neeson’s acting is brilliant. Not sure how anyone can say this is not a good movie. Story, cinematography, acting are fantastic.

A waste of my time. Pointless and depressing.
