The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard Reviews
Better than the first one! So good.
This movie dragged on & I found it more annoying than enjoyable, this first one was better for sure. I liked the idea of the wife being more involved in this one, unfortunately she was cringe in most scenes even more so than Samual Jackson.
Just look at the popcornmeter . Rotton tomatoes critics have no flexibility to bend in the right posistion to remove the stick in there butt .
True to the statement that the sequel is never as good as the original. Funny enough to be entertaining, but an underwhelming follow-up to a great movie with even better comedy. With a plot that is serviceable and twists that are predictable, it has some funny quips, tongue-in-cheek lore, and lots of wonderful comedic acting by Ryan Reynolds, Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas, Samuel L. Jackson, and Morgan Freeman.
Filled with a lot of comedy, good to see Reynolds and Jackson and Hayek back in Action
This was a mess, bad writing, too long, jokes relied solely on the language which missed. What was semi fun in the first was completely gone in this one.
The only thing that works in this otherwise pointless disappointment is some entertaining interplay between the three charismatic leads—they all clearly enjoy working together playing these characters. This is one of those films that a “The Making Of . . .” style documentary of the behind-the-scenes interactions of the cast/crew would likely have made a superior film to the theatrical release.
Last month, I found myself in an incredibly stressful situation. My business’s cryptocurrency wallet, which held a significant portion of our operational funds, was compromised. I had received a phishing email that appeared legitimate and, unfortunately, clicked on a link that led to my private key being stolen. Within hours, a substantial amount of our funds was drained from the wallet. Desperate to recover our assets, I reached out to Fastfund Recovery based on their positive reviews and expertise in the field. The process started with a thorough initial consultation. Fastfund Recovery’s team was highly professional and empathetic. They took the time to understand the details of the breach and explained how they could potentially help. They provided a clear overview of the steps involved and the likely outcomes, setting realistic expectations from the outset. Working with Fastfund Recovery was a positive experience despite the stressful circumstances. Their expertise, professionalism, and transparent approach were invaluable. They handled my case with the utmost care and demonstrated a strong commitment to recovering as much as possible. Love this movie great action and miss duration. Can't wait for the second one and hopefully more
A good follow up its predecessor with the decent plot. Once again, great chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Samuel Jackson and a bigger role for Salma Hayek.
Bizarrely stupid, even more over-the-top antics, and cartoonish insanity, The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard is a massive step down from the surprisingly good first movie.
Not as good as the first movie, but still an entertaining and amusing watch.
Its not often that I'd rate a comedy/action sequel better than the original, but this fantastically fun movie to buckle in and enjoy the ride. What a treat to see more of the relationship between Darius and Sonia (Samuel L Jackson & Salma Hayek). Salma Hayek adds so much, that I'd gladly take a bullet for her. Ignore the self appointed "professional" critics and just have some fun.
Why. Was. This. Made. I guess insanity? Cause why else take the least likable character in the first movie and make her the title.
Torn on this one as it has some good laughs but it felt like it was mostly ad libbed and Ryan Reynolds is just playing another version of deadpool. Good enough for a free watch.
Michael Bryce is still unlicensed and is taking a break from being a bodyguard until he is reinstated and gets his license back. "In two weeks I have to go in front of a tribunal and try to get my Triple-A rated license back." So he goes on vacation to relax, but when Darius Kincaid gets kidnapped, his wife Sonia Kincaid tracks Michael down and hires, well forces him to help her rescue Darius. "I need you to protect us. We're trying to have a baby." - Sonia They do save Darius but they are caught by Interpol and American agent Bobby O'Neil. Now they just happened to kill interpol's informant, so O'Neil makes them a deal that interpol is not happy about. "Let me do what we do in Boston, okay? You work with the bad guys to get the worse guys." - O'Neill They are to take the informant's place and stop Greek billionaire terrorist Aristotle Papadopoulos from destroying the European power grid. "They're planning a full-scale cyber attack. Do not screw this up." - O'Neill Well things do get screwed up, and there is a massive shootout. Things get even worse when they are are captured by Aristotle's henchmen. Now they are on their on and the clock is ticking. So we pick up were the first film left off. And the team is back together... plus Salma Hayek. Wow! Salma Hayek is so funny. What a fun movie!.... Again. I do hope there is a third film. Cast - Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas, Frank Grillo, Morgan Freeman, Caroline Goodall Warning - Strong Language & Violence
Not HORRIBLE, but there was CLEARLY a reason I hadn't heard about this sequel until now. Not as good as the first, this movie is (if at all possible) MORE crass and violent. Hayek, Jackson and Reynolds are all fine in this, and ultimately they elevate this beyond just garbage, but the baseline is pretty low. It is loud, crass and predictable, although there are a couple of quieter funny scenes (Freeman). Reynolds has done a couple of these horrible action flicks (6 Underground, Red Notice) that are just paint by the numbers, and this is probably the worst of them that I have seen.
Fake and exaggerated accents, too many shootings, too many deaths, no plot, every scene is more irritating and louder than the last. I would have preferred this to be a silent film. Everything in this movie has been seen before and is completely predictable. You might like it, watch the movie and see for yourself.
Definitely not as good as the first one though, it had its moments. Although Bryce's father was an out of the park surprise. Still, overall didn't capture the formula of the previous film. But as stated, it was decent in its own right.
This film is every bit as stupid and as fun as any action comedy starring a batshit Salma Hayek, eccentric Antonio Banderas, whiny Ryan Reynold and bullish Sam L Jackson should be. Only for casual viewing when you wanna waste some time.
