The Inspection Reviews
Serious story about a real life. Marine training is tough but should be kept under control.
It is so right to the point.
Beautifully redemptive storytelling. Powerful performance from Jeremy Pope.
I loved the movie. It was a good story especially that is is based on a true story. Acting is very good. I would recommend it.
good movie and story that brought me back to my days in the Marine Corps (minus some stuff :/)
Liked: performance of Gabrielle Union and Jeremy Pope. Liked the end of movie during and after graduation. Disliked: pace of the movie there wasn't enough time for character development, it was too fast. didn't like relationship between mother & son, it didn't evolve enough.
Great plot but too slow for me.
It was incredibly relatable, and the story was deeply compelling. It’s a great reminder of how accepting we must learn to be as a society.
the reality of basic training
Solid performance from the entire cast. Well done
Nothing new to say. Everything from the boot camp to problems with his mom to his sexuality has all been told before in better movies. This isnt a bad movie its just that youve seen it before and know the beats before they happen.
Powerful storytelling. Definitely recommend.
2nd watch now and this thing holds… and it holds STRONG! Enjoyed it even more the second time around. Jeremy Pope is everything and more in this heavy but heartfelt piece of pure art from Elegance Bratton. Easily the best paced film of the year — it’s hard for me to believe this thing isn’t 30 minutes and actually in the 90’s. A speeding bullet that keeps on giving. Go see this! 4.5/5.
Emotional depth of this movie is captivating ❤️
Gabrielle Unión, Raúl Castillo, the lead actor, the screenplay and cinematography. Kudos
Heavy-handed and perhaps emotionally a mess
This was a well written and acted film. The characters were reasonably developed. Several portions could have been movies in and of themselves. The ending …
Gripping from beginning to end. Well acted, heartfelt story that I fear too many can relate to.
Great acting storyline was great
Remarkable to see/hear this voice at a multiplex. Bravo.
