This movie is hilarious and very underrated, everybody complains about controversy but who actually cares about controversy.

I think this movie is a great example of the sheer hypocrisy that is plagueing our western society. Deep fake videos are punishable by law, and as we hopefully know: laws are _absolute_, so they provide rules and protection for everyone. And then you get this mess... making a movie that shows the murder of a real person, without their consent, and then actually thinking there's nothing wrong with it? What the hell is wrong with you?!! I wonder what would have happened if a (Bollywood?) studio would have made a movie about the murder of Barack Obama, including specific footage that would make it look as if it really happened... something tells me the US would be in a major uproar about something so distastefull and horrific. This is just garbage, and in my opinion North Korea had every right to be upset about it.

I’m only rating this movie a decade after it came out (and having watched it several times) because I went on Peacock to watch it and they showed it has ratings of 48% and 51%. That’s just wrong. For some reason a lot of reviews, including the “critic consensus” (as if movie critics ever get good/bad movies right), mention the North Korea Sony hack and subsequent controversy as if that has anything to do with the quality of the movie. This thing is just fun, pure and simple. Yes it’s stupid, yes it’s absurd, but this is ridiculously fun watch. I saw it when it came out in theaters and I’ve watched it with friends several times since then, and every time it is just cracking up with the boys nonstop. It’s not groundbreaking and it doesn’t belong in the Library of Congress but it delivers exactly what it promises.

Pretty good film! I really liked it. Not a big fan of the whole "two lovable dumbasses from different lives become friends only for them to betray each other", it was done ok here though, Great soundtrack, I love the White Stripes. Seth Rogen is great, I love him.

This is a masterclass genius film that broke the internet and nearly caused international conflict. That is funny enough in and of itself. Great writing and fun acting. The story is perfect in its message. Hilarious film and really underrated

I mean this Movie is alright, it is funny but sometimes it is just way to much going on, there are some brutal scenes made in some of the funniest and most ridiculous way possible that it is not only brutal, funny but also so cruel and brutal that it just makes the scene very shocking for a moment , yeah but overall a decent movie which is just way to much.

I remembered this film more fondly than it deserves. It's pretty crass and stupid, though it has its moments.

As expected, this is puerile guff in the wind. Whilst presenting itself as a satirical comedy, it is just whimsical nonsense. I'd say it was pegged as a kids comedy if it wasn't for the content. I'm not sure this would even land with the teen stoner brigade it seems aimed at

I thought it would have a bit more substance to it (which it does have in spurts) especially given it nearly caused WWIII in real life. But it's alright honestly. The editing isn't that bad here. It mixes a comedy and a spy thriller together sort of well at times. The story makes sense and there isn't that many stuff just happens moments honestly. The problem this has is it sort of just runs out of gas with the humor honestly towards the middle of the runtime. A lot of it just falls flat and is really dumb humor especially because of Franco who normally is comedic gold. But his character here is so dumb, over the top, and a idiot the entire time there is never any chance for substance. Rogan as the straight man is alright as the voice of reason but the chemistry isn't that that strong here compared to other works. Park as Kim is just alright too which is a bit of a disappointment. Mainly because of Franco's character which maybe the biggest problem. And this kills the pacing throughout. These jokes DRAG quite a bit at times. A 10 second joke will go on for like 45 seconds or over a minute and it wasn't funny to begin with so it really kills things. The music isn't bad but it doesn't really fit the asetics and Katy Perry numbers don't mix that well with the generic forgettable score at times. Everything else is just ok. Again it's not horrific humor, it's just flat despite starting out sort of good. This needed to make Franco smarter, cut the jokes that run way too long, and make the plot a bit wittier. Simliar to something like To Be or Not to Be. Most people could skip it unless it's at a theater and you wanna give the middle finger to the enemies of the state. USA!

filme legal pra caralho, e muito engraçado, gostei do james franco no filme e o seth rogen também acrescentou demais, e o resto do elenco ajudou muito o filme a ser engraçado, recomendo muito

I really love this movie it has some great humor and the "gayness" and chemistry between Seth and James is just really great.

Movie is perfect. Great humor! Must watch
