The Menu Reviews
As a lover of luxury hospitality, fine dining, as well as horror, betrayal, and psychological elements, this was a fantastic film! I enjoyed it very much!
The Menu's plot is simple enough to understand, but it still packs a punch in the gut. As the performances unfold, there's no stopping its frenetic pace and its citrusy humor.
The Menu is one of 2022s sharpest surprises — a surreal, character-driven thriller that balances dark comedy with biting satire. Dont be fooled by the horror label. This isnt gore for gores sake. Its a controlled, flavorful takedown of class, consumption and the pretentiousness of high art. Ralph Fiennes is mesmerizing as the obsessive chef, and Anya Taylor-Joy holds the center as an outsider forced to navigate a night of psychological chaos. Nicholas Hoult and John Leguizamo round out an ensemble that fully commits to the films eccentric tone. The editing pops, the sound design adds bite and the script skewers its targets with a smile. The Menu doesnt try to be profound — but it knows exactly what its doing. A rare dish: disturbing, clever and strangely satisfying.
Okay, i have watched many good, amazing, great movies, new or old. And I don’t say This is the greatest movie of all, probably not even in my top 100. But the 105 minutes felt like 20. Not the best plot twist, but a great and absolutely entertaining idea. Pretty nice acting and camera. And even better for food lovers.
An absolutely amazing movie that leaves you hungry for more
Brilliant. Not much more to add.
Not a bad movie. Question is, why didn’t anyone else ask for a cheeseburger to go as well? Anyhoo, not as good as the Minecraft movie. FLINT AND STEEL
Movies like these are usually Good
Best movie in forever!!!! Hilarious, gory, terrifying and delicious!!!
This movie is unique and unexpectedly unpredictable. Absolutely brilliant! I love the originality. Such a breath of fresh air!
the film is amazing, not only darkly and well executed, also great visuals. Anya Taylor Joy was great as Margo, and Nicholas and Ralph absolutely perfect
A thoroughly-enjoyable thriller. Ralph Fiennes' performance shines in this one.
Great to watch if your are an insomniac and want something to put you to sleep.
The Menu is reminiscent of "The Bear" if you were to give it a dark twist and some thrilling suspense. Some movies are entertaining, some are thrilling, some are fun, some are heart-warming, some are thought-provoking, some leave an impression, but this one is the definition of original. I had no clue where things were progressing, what twists to expect, what backstories the characters would have and loved every moment of it. It reminded me of "The Cabin" from many years ago, but with more sophisticated and with class. This is definitely the sort of thing I'd recommend to others. A couple moments that stuck out are: - The monologue about "not eating" was something I'll never forget - The entire cheesburger subplot was masterfully done and executed
I understand what story this movie is trying to tell, but it’s a bit slow. I really like the themes and messaging but it really is boring at times.
This movie was original, entertaining and very interesting. It has a deeper message about how the world looks today.
Mixing art with food with dark humor with steller performances all around leave you satisfied.
I've watched this movie 10 times in 3 months. It does an outstanding job on details, I mean everything in this movie either means something or there's a specific reason why & how it's being done. You have to watch this movie atleast 3-4 times to get everything. I'll admit I'm a huge "Hells Kitchen" fan & I do enjoy horror movies (only the really good ones). The acting, professionalism & how they explain every course in superb detail, each has it's own unique story. I dare you to only watch it once. Enjoy.
Excellent cast, which is why I chose to watch it, however, WTF?!!!! Tastes like chicken.
