The Rhythm Section Reviews
I thought it was a very good movie and some very realistic scenes. Blake is brilliant. Definitely Not 28% heck no.
Dear Paramount, What kind of fu$&ery is “Star Trek” Section 31? This is a steaming pile of 💩💩💩. It defiles the legacy of Star Trek! Have you even watched Star Trek? WTF??? Did you watch a Guardians of the Galaxy and Star Wars cartoon and say we can rip off these two AND make it under the guise of the Star Trek franchise believing fans would buy in to your bullsh€£t! Making crap by ripping off plot lines, and creating characters that have no appeal and overact in garbage scenes!! Paramount, you suck ass! That is all!
a really good movie Blake lively and Jude law did a great job at acting
5 stars just to even out the inane scores. It was a very good movie.
Good actors, bad scenario. Such an unclear storyline that you could fly a 747 through the holes in the plot. Pity, based on the trailer I had expected a much better plot and more excitement. A plus for the fact that Blake Lively does not transform into an invincible killing machine under the hands of Jude Law, but stays vulnerable and realistic - unlike many other movies. Having said that, she has more luck than skill in overcoming the adversaries. A minus for the fact that she goes through the movie like in a halfdream. Where are the emotions, where is the personality ?
"A vingança nunca é plena mata a alma e envenena" ...
Apart from the car chase scene, and action scenes towards the end, everything else seemed weak.
You know, when you watch the first 15 minutes of a movie, desperate to find some attraction to it, increasingly asking yourself, do you want to waste more time on that pitiful test of your tolerance for mediocrity and you find out, its actually way below mediocrity, tis god awful.
I give 3/5 only because of Blake lively and the car racing scene, and that fight scene with Jude Law. everything else was boring for me.
I couldn't wait until this flick was over. Blake Lively was decent in this role, but pleeeaaaassssse...still with your cute movies instead.
The premise of quickly training a tragically damaged person to become a skilled assassin is a big stretch, but Blake Lively didn't really 'sell it' as remotely plausible. Just passable.
I wish I could go back in time and never watch it. Solid, classic plot destroyed by this movie. The James bond producers had evidently something else much better to do
I caught up with this streaming on big 온라인카지노추천. Good movie and stars, direction and writing should have been better. I thought it was quite OK, ignore the 1s and 2s in reviews. I'd watch a sequel if it emerged. The plot is derivative, formulaic but so is most cinema. Nikita and the other junkies turned assassins do good cinema. And the male assassins are fomulaic but with names like Wick, Denzel, Bourne and Nobody, we don't complain about genre ... I appreciated the movie's honesty that after about 3 months training a psychologically scarred junkie won't be strong like Furiosa. Brooke Lively is an attractive actress who did a great job and actually looks a lot like Geena Davis. But with an ectomorph body, lighter than a mesomorph like Geena (who did great action in The Long Kiss Goodbye) or Charlize, the hand to hand combat was a bit hard to take. Female ectomorph action heroes work better at the gunplay, driving, stabbing, poisoning (I'm looking at you Ripley, Nikita, Killing Eve), and those aspects worked well. The writing had her showing some humanity and emotional depth emerging, arcing up. Her toughness emerged and the ending set up a potential sequel that I would actually want to see. Unfortunately the direction/writing didn't bring out the characters' amotions or even really connect the two leads other than professionally. So her character was not rounded out. For example a late scene, where she confides her back-story to another character before a major action, was played very straight, without emotion. Such direction limits audience involvement, even if it's probably realistic for professional assassins. The direction and tone leaned more to "The Mechanic" than Nikita: professional, eventful, and watchable even though not emotionally involving. Overall I give it 3.5. I would want to see the characters again, I'd want to see Brooke again. I hope someone gives them a chance to do a sequel like Eve or Furiosa or Nikita.
A great action-packed yet deep film! It definitely fits in with the genre of femme revenge movies, (like Atomic Blonde). I'd recommend for anyone who likes action movies.
Waist of time. Lead actress was quite irritating with all the groaning and moaning; not realistic in her role. Jude Law was not convincing either... Story didn't make sense at all...
Boring, with a capital B.
While it has good intentions and the beginning scene is powerful it's still really boring for a spy thriller which gives more than this
I liked the movie a lot. It probably could of had a better twist at the end or build up to it but I thought Blake played a convincing female action movie star.
A very strange one, this one. A seriously bad script, full of holes, bad dialogues, shabbily written, but with very good direction and acting. The often told take of the damaged prostitute-turned-Nikita is interesting in itself precisely because the transition is not really complete; she maintains a human, somewhat awkward quality in the action scenes - but somehow manages to pull them off with sheet determination and some dumb luck. A movie which deserves to be seen if only for Blake Lively's character and performance. Never mind the bad reviews.
