Wow... that opening scene really sets up what is to come. This is a very nasty film and certainly not for the faint-hearted. A pretty solid cast, a story which keeps churning away, and a sense of dread that continues to build to a violent climax.

This movie reminded me of the original wicker man. It's not near as good a movie as wicker man but it is engaging. I definitely liked something about the mood of the movie and the pacing.

I think my problem with this film is that I want to think a lot more about what’s going on. That’s not what Clay wants, Clay wants you to witness despair without knowing why.

I hate the bad critiques here. This a great movie. Like in Aronofsky´s MOTHER, people do not understand the wonderful, underlying parable.

Though distasteful and progressively unwatchable in unflinchingly depicting rural folk horror, it gradually favors in being philosophically seeded and forebodingly clever whilst twistedly tightening within the natural ambiance. (B-)

It's greatest ammo is its simplicity and rawness in portrayal of human struggle confronted with the mysticism of unknown.

The Seeding is a film; it exists despite it trying desperately to self destruct at every opportunity. Stepping on its own toes, The Seeding has some genius but if you’re a fan of cerebral horror steer clear of this flick. When it works it really works and when it fails, the pieces that had you hooked seem to be screaming up from a well. Bottom line, The Seeding is a watchable atrocity ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2.

A insufferable main character, and crule movie that is just as bad as it gets. Not ever the desert location can save this horrible film.

Wholly dislikable characters. The lack of dialogue exacerbates the monotony of the movie. Utterly predictable every step of the way. It came off as an inbred mashup of Mad Max and The Hills Have Eyes with some peppering of cliff paintings and Mother.

The only redeeming value of this movie is that it proves how modern writers can't even string together a cohesive beginning-middle-end arc. This movie started with an obvious premise. Then middle, where the protagonist should be working out a clever means of escaping his fate, was absent. It was just a guy along for the ride and experiencing the "horror". The end was just... nothing. They said they'd kill him, the whole movie led up to his death and it happened as expected. No twist. No attempt at self preservation. Nothing. It's as though someone came up with a premise, "Woman waits in pit to be impregnated then man dies", handed it to the production staff and said, "do this". Lazy, stupid and a waste of the audience's time and money. There's a kind of social contract between creator and viewer to attempt to entertain, and this trash didn't even try. This is no critique of the actors who were fine. This film failed right out of the gate by lacking the foundation of all entertainment, a story that is so good it HAS to be told.

Should have higher rating. A good solid scary movie in the vein of "The Hills Have Eyes".

Great movie to watch alone or with company. Low budget movie with good acting. The intro had me a little disturbed, but made sense at the end.

I’m 30 minutes in and the lack of common sense from the main character is making it impossible to watch!

Honestly, I've never been so compelled to review a movie in my life. This was a waste of an hour and 30 minutes of my life I will NEVER get back. It was something never made before, because it shouldn't have ever been made. Gross incestuous under tones and a severe lack of story telling. I'd rather be forced to watch the second thro movie while sand is shoveled down my throat. I loved the first 15 minutes of the movie, and began to resent giving it the first 15 minutes of the movie. There is NOTHING to gain or desire from watching this movie except incest porn and death.

Good and unique premise. Suitably weird performance from Shiel. Little too much unexplained for my liking (the color choice?) but still a solid debut.

It's not bad at all, actually it's very interesting...there are parts that could've been much better, but i like it. the performances were good, Kate Lynn was excellent. It's a slow burn but not very, it picks up quick, i think it's 20 mins too long, it should've been hour 25 max...
