I was excited to see this film when I got on Blu Ray sucks that I missed my showtime because I fell asleep after coming back home from the gym.

The Substance instantly became one of my favorite horror films of all time. Tops notch acting, amazing filmography, and an excellent relatable story.

For being 140min it moves at a pretty quick pace. Great elements of modern and classic horror. All the comparisons made to Corman, Carpenter, Argento, and even a little early Karine or Peter Jackson are on point. Reminds me of going to Chart Hits as a teenager and grabbing that movie off the bot knowing I would be WAY too high for what I was about to watch, and I mean that in a wholly positive manner. Those with a good theater system will appreciate the excellent sound design. Great film, glad I chose to see it in theater.

Loved the beautiful demi moore and what the represented about older women. People want newer, better, etc. sometimes classics and well seasoned is the way to go. I saw myself in some parts. Love the view of dennis quad on the lens. loved the concept. loved the gore. Thank you for a fantastic movie! Thank you for bringing it to the theater!

Horrible story line and acting

Worst movie of the year. So stupid!

Unnecessary gore made this interesting idea for a movie plot just shy of repulsive. The director is clearly out of touch with what the audience wants. Avoid this movie. It’s utter garbage.

Started off strong then fell apart at the end. Was very weird.

Demi Moore is an awesome actress. The storyline was awful. Way too much blood and gore for us.

The first half of the movie is sleek, stylish, and intriguing but like Thanos, with a snap of an old gnarled finger it 180s at break-neck speed into a cheap and campy gorefest that had me rolling my eyes at how preposterous it becomes. Demi Moore is fine I guess, but Margaret Qualley is deliciously vile

it is horrible. I was turning my head away from the screen the entire evening. Too many needles in the back and very violent/gory. I do not understand why Demi Moore is getting so many accolades. She was in a coma like state a lot.

Dude. The Substance is an absolutely insane movie, but it's awesome. It has an incredible and original story with flawless execution and terrific production and sound design. Has to be one of the best movies of 2024 for me. I loved this movie. THE SUBSTANCE. IT CHANGED MY LIFE.

Too much gore, too much nudity. It ranked up there with the worst move we have seen. Movies are just not entertaining anymore.

The movie was too long. It should be cut down by 30 minutes. The plot was lost at times and there were throwaway scenes.
