If you are a fan of the original series you will be very disappointed. I was a fan of the original 온라인카지노추천 series from the 70's. It was probably the best t.v. cop series I've seen. It was gritty with a sense of realism . Win some, loose some, mistakes, people getting hurt physically hurt, emotionally hurt. with grey areas with a very real human factor.( ll former members of the actual Sweeny said that something that appeared in the series had actually happened ) When the film was announced I was really looking forward to seeing that kind of reality which has pretty much disappeared from films today. I was so disappointed, the film is basically the same as as any us action cop film but set in London ( which is even more unrealistic when you consider the limited access to firearms of U.K police) . Apart from the names and some aspects of personal interactions it is nothing like the series. So as a police action film it might get a 3 outvoted 10 but if you expect it to be anything like the series it is a 1.

Get over the fact this this is a reboot and not the old Sweeney then it's a decent watch. It's a good, very gritty action cop movie, but it is let down by the poor dialogue, but nethertheless it is enjoyable.

It's good movie to watch

Loud yet forgettable.

The film had a movie for 온라인카지노추천 vibe which is appropriate considering the original material. Loosely based on the 온라인카지노추천 series of the same name it tells the story of the Flying Squad in London headed by Ray WInston a man stuck in the past and having to deal with political correctness and a new way of doing police work. No where near as good as the tv series but I think fans of the original will appreciate the effort.

GUARANTEE: No professional police work was depicted during the filming of this movie. The time for this sort of thing has come. And gone. Lots of action and macho posturing. No discernable rational behavior on the part of either the police or the criminals. It's always pleasant to see Hayley Atwell, though. Half a star included for her.

I've never cared for the work of Nick Love and this film does nothing to reverse that feeling. Its sadly a standard cop and robbers flick loaded down with cliches and pub tough man bravado. It has some aspirations of being the British 'Heat', the Trafalgar Square shoot out being the key indicator but the whole thing just fizzles out into nothingness.

It's nothing like the 70's television series, so it's best not to view it in that manner. Ray Winstone looks good in this, but it's a very bland crime thriller in the main.

The Sweeney is a English crime, action, drama that has a few exciting chase scenes and a great cast but a unoriginal flat story that has many problems. At times it can be boring, this is a film I would only watch once.

Makes me embarrassed to be British the makers of this should be sued by the creators of the original 온라인카지노추천 series and film spin offs for dragging the great concept of the Sweeney down to the complete opposite of of what the original was. As for Ray Winstone he should know better he should have played the villain, how old was the bloke playing Carter he looked like a kid to me, but that might be my age. They should have re made it set in the seventies like "life on Mars " Well they had a good pedigree to work with, let's hope someone else has a go Ray how about a sequel to "Sexy beast" you excelled in that.

A great lead performance from Ray Winstone brings this up a peg or two but a tired plot and an uninspiring script are glaringly obvious. Full review later.
