The Unforgivable Reviews
I think this is one of Sandra Bullock's best movies.. it's such an excellent story and I would do exactly what Sandra Bullock did, but don't judge me until you watch the whole movie!
Terrible film. Sandra Bullock is not believable in this role. Waste of Sally Wainwright’s script.
I love Sandra Bullock in this. great movie and surprising.
Gripping story. Terrific acting. Surprising twist in the finale. Will watch it again.
Sandra bullok performance is so great. The movie is so emotional. May be simple story but you could watch it for 2 hours with suspense while touching your feelings.
In 2021, Sandra Bullock took the lead in the suspenseful drama "The Unforgivable," which debuted exclusively on Netflix. While critics may not have embraced the film, I found it to be well-directed with a solid screenplay. It may not have achieved blockbuster status or generated overwhelming enthusiasm, but it effectively explored the protagonist's journey, allowing us to connect with her struggles. The story revolves around her fight to confront her past and seek forgiveness from society for her actions. I won't divulge any plot details to avoid spoiling the experience, but I can say that the cast is thoughtfully assembled. While Sandra Bullock shines as the focal point, the supporting characters are also given the chance to develop. Although "The Unforgivable" may not be the most pulse-pounding thriller out there, it still offers a level of engagement that makes it worth watching. I encourage you to give it a chance!
Sandra Bullock's acting was superb, she really draws you into the story. The time spent to get to the end is well worth the journey.
Soooo meh
Deeply nuanced and moving. I watch the last and powerful 40 minutes over and over. Sandra's acting is gripping, displaying her wide range. She is such a compelling actress.
I don’t know how the critics can call it “ far-fetched,” as it’s a completely plausible story. Very moving with excellent performances by Sandra Bullock and Jon Bernthal
Wow ... I love Sandra Bullock... Unfortunately this movie wasn't it. It was complete 🗑️ trash from beginning to end. Don't think this movie was a good fit for her. Very lack luster (boring af).
As someone who works with offenders....I spent the entire movie saying "that's not realistic" ...then the ending happened and the whole story made sense. Wonderful acting and plot
Excellent story and great performance by Sandra Bullock
Overacting by Bullock. Its been 20 years...comb your hair for god's sake.
I honestly have never left a rotten tomatoes review. I felt like I had to, once I saw that it was given only 39 by the critics of rotten tomatoes. Please do not listen to them. This movie is good. It hits a lot of heart strings on the way.
A emotionally raw and gripping watch, with a great twist or two. Gritty and thought provoking regarding the guilt and shame ridden experience of committing a crime, and being incarcerated under the criminal justice system. Recommend as a must watch. Sandra bullock was brilliant.
I dont understand how this movie doesnt have a higher rating... Not what I expected out of the movie
I can’t believe there are so many poor reviews. This is a reasonably good movie. Particularly when contrasted against the majority of rubbish films on offer during the same period.
I had watched the movie because I saw the preview scene with Davis' and Bullocks' characters arguing. The acting was amazing and I love those actors so I was sure the movie would be great. The acting was indeed wonderful, but the writing and plot made me so angry that I wanted to throw the coffee table. In my opinion there's a major part of the plot I find is illogical, and there are moments where Ruth does things that are out of character from how they built her up in the 1st half of the movie.
