The Week Of Reviews
This movie is an intense and drama filled comedy that emphasizes on whatever could go wrong will go wrong. It captures the chaos of having a big family and trying to make everything make in a wedding go right. The short week feels like a month but as life throws you twists and turns that the days feel never ending. However, some aspects of the movie fell flat and too drawn out. A good Adam Sandler movie that was worth the watch
The Week Of on Netflix, starring Adam Sandler, is a comedy that left me with mixed feelings. While it didn't quite hit the mark, it still managed to deliver some genuine laughs and heartfelt moments. The film follows the story of two fathers, Kenny Lustig (Adam Sandler) and Kirby Cordice (Chris Rock), from different walks of life, as they navigate the chaos of their children's wedding week. The setup is ripe for humor, and the cast, which includes Rachel Dratch, Steve Buscemi, and Allison Strong, delivers some solid performances. Adam Sandler, in particular, brings his signature goofiness to the role of Kenny, and his chemistry with Chris Rock is undeniable. The two comedians play off each other well, and their banter provides some of the film's funniest moments. However, the movie's tone can be inconsistent at times, veering wildly from slapstick humor to more sentimental scenes. The pacing also feels a bit sluggish, with some scenes dragging on longer than necessary. Despite these flaws, The Week Of still manages to be an enjoyable, if unremarkable, watch. If you're a fan of Adam Sandler or Chris Rock, you'll likely find some laughs here. Just don't go in expecting a comedy classic.
The Week Of was terrible!!!
Couldn't get through 10 minutes of this s**t
It's an adam Sandler film that's for sure. This film is really enjoyable if you like his films not his best for sure but absolutely worth a watch.
Please allow me to give this movie 0 starts. I’m beyond sad to say that Happy Madison and Adam Sandler have let me down.
I didn’t even laugh a single time.
Funny, heartwarming, studded cast, with a great plot... I have no idea how the IMDB and RT ratings are this low. This is classic Sandler WITH Chris Rock... Great movie 👌
Horrible. Possibly top ten of worst movies I have ever watched. If you make it to Sandler depicting his mother singing…try stop yourself from dry reaching. Chris Rock has to be one of the most cringe, talentless comedians to walk this planet. Shame on you Buscemi for signing up to this tripe. 🤮
Not anything like the usual Adam Sandler/Happy Gilmore films. They are my normal go to comfort films to watch and I turned to this thinking it would be the same. I watched 25 minutes and hoped for the best. It took a lot out of me to watch the 25 minutes. It was dull and dragged the whole time before I finally switched it off. Its clearly not written by Adam Sandler just produced as it is boring, dull and monotone.
Awful. I will never get the 8 hours it took to watch this
East coast bickering, joyless experience. OK to never see again.
Adam Sandler delivers a great raunchy comedy but it makes you a little uncomfortable at times, mostly because of how serious the story actually is if we remove comedy. Chris Rock had a big role but less part in comedy.
The movie's ratings are surprisingly low despite being a great work of comedy. It beautifully depicts the imperfect perfection of a family, covering almost all aspects. The story follows a wealthy African American family meeting a middle class Jewish family, coming together after two members from each family get married. Surprisingly, it's better than many Happy Madison production movies. The casting is excellent, with Steve Buscemi as Charles and Adam Sandler as Kenny Lustig. As always, Adam excels at making his character hilarious. Adam Sandler's character is a great dad who does everything for his kids. Chris Rock plays the rich and famous character of a heart surgeon in L.A. I loved this movie and believe it receives hate because it's real. It's perfect for a family comedy movie night and will keep you laughing. I recommend this movie to anyone looking for a hilarious story.
It started of with a little humour here and there and then towards the middle it got interesting. It depicts good values and the great American family heart-never say no to anyone. I enjoyed the cast, the roles, the entire roll over.
Definitely had me laughing quite a few times but the storyline was a bit rough
Awful! Movie was way too long, acting was mediocre, storyline was exhausting. Don't waste your time!
it was boring the characters weren't working in my opinion like the guy who is taking an eye on the garbage hotel , the Idea was very lazy it was just a cash grab and the only thing why it has some stars because of the great cast of Adam Sandler and Chris Rock
Wow, this was a movie? I like Adam and Chris, but I can not believe someone said "okayed" this movie. Awkward, not funny, and of course showing the man of color was a cheat and divorced. First 18 minutes of the movie was painful. The worst Adam movie I've ever seen.
Just finished the movie and loved it so much decided to make a rotten tomato account just to give it 5 stars.
