The Whale Reviews
Brendan Frasers performance is lives up to the hype.
It was a great movie as far as the content.. We feel the language could have been cleaned up and it would have still been a great movie.
Spectacular film that took us through a range of emotions for full depth of the human experience.
The 'Whale' was fabulous. Acting by alll characters was well done. Story line touching and deeply analyzes dysfunctional familly.
Im not sure how I feel about the movie. The actors were great but it was a depressing and hard to watch him eat.
I really liked this movie, it was very moving at the end, had me in tears!
The ending was a little goofy for me but still good.
Didn't like seeing the puking. Most deserving of the best actors award! Performance was stellar.. so sad and emotional.
Ugh! Nothing about that movie was entertaining. The characters are pathetic and sad.
Truly enjoyed this movie. It's not a comedy, laughter movie, and not a feel good movie, but it did affect my emotions while watching. Such a great part portrayed by Brendon Fraser. Such a difficult situation involving all characters in this story. None can be discounted. I was hoping for a different ending, however, the way it ends is fitting for the story. If you still have it in you to shed a tear when you watch a movie, this one should elicit more than a few.
I don't like a man who would give up a wife and daughter for another man
Great acting by Brendan Fraser and other actress. Very powerful story
pretty damn emotional and everyone gives a real performance. Brenden is definitely on his A game
Wow! Amazing acting, compelling story and drama, while difficult to watch. Critics just plain have it wrong. Its origins is the stage, so that type of setting lends itself to more dramatic acting. But, that simply means that the viewer is thrust deeper into the drama. All in all, an emotionally draining experience.
Extremely heart wrenching. Two hours of crying. I loved it
Some of the most incredible acting I've ever seen in any film, an amazing comeback for Frazer, and such a realistic believable world built around such a heart wrenching story. It feels so grounded in reality while also being a sort of bottle episode and while you may go into the film knowing all the actors, that sense of awareness will fade away as you only will only see the actors by the end of the film.
Amazing acting, sad and joyful at the same time. Thought provoking to be sure.
Brendan Fraser deserves the Oscar for Best Actor in this film! Wow- heart-wrenching scenes, painful to watch him at times. Strong performance also from Sadie Sink who plays his daughter Ellie.
AMAZING STORY AND ACTING!!! So thought provoking. Cant stop raving! Bring a lot of tissues!!!
Was riveting! MANY on this planet struggle with all kinds of addiction so I hope his statement remains true, that "People are SO awesome!"
