Traffik Reviews
It exploits for entertainment the trauma it claims to shed a light on -- and it isn't even entertaining on its own terms, much less well made.
| Original Score: 1.5/5 | Jul 24, 2020
For a film with such a sense of social consciousness, Traffik comes off as a by-the-numbers action thriller that throws in a misguided "the more you know" message after the fact.
| Original Score: 2.3/5 | Jan 7, 2020
We give credit for Taylor creating a film dealing with this important issue.

I truly enjoyed this film and it's message. Could the acting from its lead have been stronger? Yes. At times I found that certain scenes dragged on, but overall the film is a fun thriller and a sobering look at a world we don't see often portrayed in film

The paint-by-numbers script is oozing with apathy and the dialogue lifeless, which is made even worse due to the laughably awful performances.

Holy Hell Did I Ever Hate TRAFFIK
| Nov 27, 2018
The biggest failure of Traffik is how clumsily it tackles the subject of human trafficking and sexual slavery.
| Original Score: 2/5 | Nov 12, 2018
While Traffik's intentions are good, it poor casting and lack of cleverness makes the film fall short of what could have been a solid idea for a feature film.

Traffik entertains while enlightening, propelled forward by Paula Patton's performance
| Original Score: 6.5/10 | Oct 10, 2018
Even if, in form, "Traffik" is little more than a crowd-pleasing B-movie with ultra-slick production values, it is an undeniably arresting one with a deeper purpose beyond its polished surface.
| Original Score: 3/4 | Jul 9, 2018
Grabs you and refuses to let you go through this intense, gruelling, and powerful tale... Paula Patton is absolutely phenomenal.
| Original Score: 6/10 | Jun 21, 2018
Traffik is as entertaining as sitting in literal traffic-waiting for something to happen, only to be disappointed by the result.

'Traffik' is a serviceable thriller.
| Original Score: 2/4 | May 21, 2018
There's little doubt that Traffik gets off to a decidedly (and palpably) underwhelming start...
| Original Score: 1.5/4 | May 9, 2018
It's too bad how basic and misguided Traffik is, considering that Dante Spinotti's cinematography is genuinely haunting and claustrophobic at times.
| Original Score: 4/10 | May 3, 2018
If this movie demonstrates anything, it's that this capable actress [Paula Patton] deserves better than just being known as the ex-Mrs. Robin Thicke.
| Original Score: 1.5/5 | Apr 26, 2018
Though it may have had good intentions, this movie is ultimately ineffectual, unpleasant, and borderline offensive; it's a vicious thriller that fails in its attempts to convey serious messages.
| Original Score: 1/5 | Apr 20, 2018
While Patton almost single-handedly makes you want to take the film a little more seriously than is in any way warranted, it's impossible to do so on any level...
| Apr 20, 2018
An effective weekend-from-hell thriller with a vital message, a terrific lead performance by Paula Patton and some unexpectedly dimensional storytelling from writer-director Deon Taylor.

Traffik is junc.
