Traitor Reviews
Wonderful acting by Don Cheadle as well as the supporting cast. Movie keeps you on the edge of your seat with enough action and drama to keep you engaged throughout. Don’t miss it!
A very hit or miss action/suspense film that stars Don Cheadle who I think is a decent, albeit boring, actor and he can very do little with the script and in the end we are left with a rather bland film. While there are some good chase sequences and well done action scenes the majority is rather underwhelming cohesively. A decent rental or lazy afternoon film but one that I wouldn't highly recommend.
This is a well made thriller, with a good performance from Don Cheadle. Its not exactly original or entirely memorable but its an entertaining watch with some good explosions/special effects. Its fairly atmospheric and makes for a decent watch but no more. I wouldn't expressly recommend it but its not bad either - make of that what you will.
I have just finished watching this and I am struggling to remember how it started. Oh yes, Dan Cheadle is selling explosives to terrorists, call this point A. And with that, we know how it will end, call this point B. In between there are the unsurprising steps to get from A to B. There is no tension. One interesting story point happens just before the end. Mostly it felt like a 온라인카지노추천 episode. The credits say that the story was written by Steve Martin, the comedian, on his own. I think the point was to look at the motivations of terrorists, which it did fairly well. As a thriller it did not so well, but not unwatchable. Guy Pearce is hardly in it.
Traitor is one of those films that you find on daytime 온라인카지노추천 halfway through the runtime; it's a decent enough action film that could have taken a much deeper dive into its deep plant setting (feels at times like a simplified, Middle Eastern conflict take on Infernal Affairs/The Departed) but does enough to be entertaining. There are a few straglling plot holes and the characters could have made a more lasting impression, but there is some tension to the standoffs. Taghmaoui has been somewhat quietly building a decades-long resume of major roles in top-budget films, and even if he's not given much to work with, he feels like a good fit. The real victim here is the poor bus driver who somehow managed to end up driving 30 suicide bombers. Mostly forgettable, but not bad. (2.5/5)
Although there are some cliche tropes peppered within the film, it was still entertaining none-the-less. Surprised to see Steve Martin's hand in the project as this was definitely not a comedy by any stretch.
Despite some talent involved the film fails to engage the viewer in anything but cheep action scenes.
Islamophobe movie riding on the ride of September 11th. Which by the way was done by Dick Cheney and neocons. I'm not am antisemite, but it is so sad to see so many Jewish last names in the making of the movie.
It is an edge of the seat kindda movie but it is also a once and done kind of movie. Don Cheadle was great and it was a pleasant surprise seeing Jeff Daniels.
Some things just don't fit or match up well. A lot seems kinda forced and unproductive. It has some interesting scenes that are decent. Overall its just a little too complicated.
Tense with mystery, I found myself involved with this film more and more as the story developed. An exceptional film indeed
Cliche, unauthentic and awkward at times. How hard is it to learn a few lines in arabic? Apparently very, especially when the dialogue conveys major plot points. The director feeds the audience with a spoon. Characters keep stating exactly where they are, why and what they are planning to do, and what kind of people they are. Everything from the locations, how people dress, and how they behave is too silly to be taken seriously and too idiotic for suspense of disbelief.
Yes. I recommend this movie. Kind of felt bad for the bus driver. Once you see it, you will understand.
A Pretentious Close-Call. Traitor Nachmanoff is far from being serious about the sincerity he ought to ooze in such geo-political themed film, the final answer is unbearable. With none whatsoever rhythm, this overly ridden feature relies upon the caliber of the promising cast, which they hold on to it as always. The first act, a sleazy escape that whispers nothing but close calls has a poor build up to expect it to enchant the viewers. Such intense sequences are often and should, enter the film in its latter stages, in order to convey the fear or the stakes among the viewers. After which, the film digs up into familiar land and pulls out nothing but a bunch of cliches as the so called surprising element, that may be justifying but can be seen far before it even hits the screen. This good cop gone bad and vice versa on the other side of the door, just doesn't work. Often when there is not enough content to drive the stick, the screenplay allows the cast to handle the wheel, unfortunately, the window of allowing Pearce and Cheadle to strike horns on screen is shucked out of the table carelessly. Cheadle; as the torch bearer, the see-saw of the game, pours his heart into the film and serves us enough reasons to survive this quest. Pearce is equally challenging to Cheadle with Daniels getting few stand out moments. The theme where Cheadle often resists in the film is worth exploring, the preaching on the nobility and fair and unfair trials that is put upfront on the screen, gives enough room for him to stretch his muscles. Traitor cannot be considered as a thriller, there is very little to be thrilled about, and as far as drama is concerned, this already experienced dull venture of right and wrong is getting outdated.
It's a morality play and a political diatribe and doesn't claim to be more. One man's cliche is another man's trope. Good acting, good suspense, real conclusion.
Good film, I just have to wonder why a premium cable channel chose to air it new when federal judges have overturned the Moslem ban.
This movie benefits strongly from a committed and strong performance from Don Cheadle. Even though it's slightly cliché and by the numbers, it's a relevant & good story
