Mostly boring. A couple cool brutal scenes, but honestly I fell asleep halfway through out of boredom. The Tom Atkins appearance was cool, I guess, but his acting seemed contrived. The film was average length, but felt like it went on forever, pretty typical modern "horror" film with bad acting and a snooze fest plot.

I liked this movie because it was kinda like scream which is my favorite horror franchise

(Mistletoe Virus I'm saying I love this movie!) Trick is one of the best I've seen in quite a while, I will highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Halloween/slashers/horror movies

Scream wannabe. Adding Jamie Kennedy in the cast was'nt enough to have a scream vibe.

Loved it, did not think it would go anywhere , but it was great, 10/10

Pleaasseee this movie sucked! Not enjoyable unless you LIKE pulling your hair out from frustration. The majority of the movie was uninteresting and borderline nonsensical Cop's investigation. And then any crumb of suspense or danger was simply because the characters lacked common sense to the point it was hard to watch. Not even funny-bad actually.

This was a strange film on all levels. It started off really cool and interesting. I thought it might be a sleeper little slasher that was panned just because critics hate horror movies. But nope. This one makes zero sense. It was a nonsensical film. The twist and reveal was absolutely ridiculous and unbelievable. It makes every character seem stupid. And all of the ways they try to make “Trick” seem supernatural are left unexplained. There were no hints or clever plot developments to make any of it worth it. It’s too bad too because it’s a nice looking movie. It was just so strange. I’d say watch if you want a decent laugh…but I think it’s just a swing and a big miss

With the exception of the killer, the others were terrible actors. They looked like they see stabbings and killings every day. Not enough emotion and screams. One of the worst horror movies I ever saw. The end was stupid too. Nothing could kill the black cop. He gets stabbed, falls out of a window, gets stabbed many more times with a big knife, but manages to live. Totally unbelievable and doesn't correspond to the way the world works.

Most of the time, the movie jumped to conclusions it hadn't set up well. Everyone calls Trick an evil mastermind but we don't see him do anything clever. I guess he lays a boobytrap one time? And there are dramatic showdowns between characters who have little-to-no relationship with each other. And there's a message about "people are comforted by the idea of a bogeyman," but the movie hasn't shown that to be true at all. Basically, it "puts the cart before the horse" most of the time.

This was rather like Halloween where the killer is over-obsessed and somewhat mythological, but a little bit better. The blood was overdone, but the action got better as the movie progressed and some of the ideas were vaguely Saw-like. It definitely had an interesting little ending, but not one that was really necessary. It wasn't bad to watch, but it wasn't a very good movie.

It kept showing in my Hulu suggestions so I watched it. I thought it might be okay since it had a few names, but... The reveal was so bad it was insulting. There were never any hints or clues throughout that made me think, "didn't see that one," or "I knew it!" And some of the scenes were so drawn out I hit forward 3O secs. Very poorly done for the budget. I've seen low-grade films by really bad directors featuring bad acting that told a story better.

Generic plot. It starts off fast than it slows down dramatically! Some scenes are drawn out way too long. Picks up at the end. It's a fun watch to pass time.

Derivative and unoriginal. Extremely poor "reveal" that seems like it was just thrown together at the last minute. The only remotely "frightening" parts in it are some of the masks! Seriously, don't waste your time!

This 'slasher' film gives us a whole load of Tricks and no Treats. I gather I'm not the only one morbidly disappointed. By now we have seen our fair share of Horror Slashers, big franchises such as: Friday the 13th, Halloween and Scream really hit the spot and deliver us some juicy gore and thrilling scenes. But it's a bit overdone at this point. We need something new, something fresh! I didn't find myself rooting for any of the characters and - to be blunt - could care less if they got slaughtered in the end. I overall couldn't grasp the fact that the protagonists kept charging the Tricks (armed with a bloody long blade) and expecting different results. You are gonna get stabbed!

Utterly atrocious, no redeeming features whatsoever.

It really wants to be Halloween but it has none of its scares or compelling characters.

Easily the best thing about this movie was that it wasn't boring. I've seen so many boring horror movies, and there is honestly nothing worse than it. This movie is entertaining, it passes the time and is something you can tune out to. Nothing else to say it was just okay.

Lies for no reason that doesn't really do anything for the plot, and was pretty predictable from the first few minutes of the movie. Tried to make it something it wasn't, and just fell flat on its face. Passed time just fine, but not a go to movie. All around it was basic.

This movie was garbage. Don't wast your time watching it. It's so predictable on who the bad guy is. Save your time I wish I did.

It's a fun slasher, even if the killer isn't quite as iconic as they're trying to make him. But it's a silly good time, with some nice cameos. The twist is a little ridiculous, but it doesn't matter when a movie like this isn't taking itself soo seriously.
