Tuck Everlasting Reviews
Unforgettable lovely movie. Also heartwarming 💕
Tuck Everlasting is the most forgettable movie of all time that I've seen. While every other movie I've seen where I can remembered something, I legit forget everything about this movie. You know you've made a bad movie when the viewer can't remember a single thing. 3/10
Based on the book of the same name by Natalie Babbitt, a girl falls for a guy who is part of a family of immortals. The premise of the story is interesting and the concept of immortality is treated well here. The love story between the two leads, played by Alexis Biedel and Jonathan Jackson, is too simple and mundane for my tastes. There were several lines that induced an eye roll from me and some were over the top for a budding romance. Ben Kingsley plays the villain and does a good job, but his motivation and plans didn’t seem to work within the narrative very well. If you might be into a romance movie with a fantasy twist, then I’d recommend checking this movie out.
This movie was very riveting and visually pleasing. The Tuck secret i believe was very well kept throughout the movie and the reveal of the spring made for a very enjoyable experience. i didn't feel that i was getting ahead of the charcters. The movie did drag a bit and i feel that more time should have been spend on Winnie with the Tuck's. All in all it was a good movie and a good watch.
By far a spectacular presentation! Has a smooth timeline of events and draws you into the moments of anticipation. Very well filmed with a good cast as well. Amazing!
I like the book but not that much. the thing I like about it, it was fun to read this book and it was sweet and sad and the only thing that I don't like, it was immortality and people being the same age and not growing up
i think this movie is great specially i kinda like the ending its make sense.
This is a poignant story for me, I think the book is better than the movie though. If it's possible, I would suggest this movie to have 2 version (Winnie married Jackson and have kid/ Winnie drink the spring water and she meet Jesse soon) . Some of the lens (landscape) express the same feeling and a good visual effect just like what has been describe so much in the book, it's good. But for the entire movie, it makes me feels like it's really compact, the plot advancement for me are too fast, I would suggest so make the advancement slower and more details. However, this movie has a creative and fresh subject, makes thought provoking, I would suggest this movie if people ask me to.
I think the movie is book is good and funny but I like some content in the original book better, and feel that there are some unnecessary modifications in the movie.
The book is better than the movie because I like the Tucks in book more. I prefer some of the descriptions in the book. I don't like the method they save Mae in the Movie. I like the method in the book more.
The movie had change many plots from the book, I think the book is better than the movie. And I like the book's characters' set up.
I think the movie is good, but I like the book better. There are so many differences between the book and movie.
I think the movie is actually good but I want to change the last scene to Winnie and Jesse staying together forever. In the book, it describes more but in the movie, it shows more about what happened in that scene.
Decent movie, need to be more restore the plot of the book, but still a good movie.
Fans should be pleased. A strong adaptation.
This movie is better than the book 9/10
Those not the best adaptation of the book it's still a pretty good movie
When world-weary teen, Winnie Foster, finds herself lost in the woods of her wealthy family's estate, she stumbles upon a peculiar boy and his family whom immediately take her in as one of their own. However, a dilemma quickly forms when the confidentiality of a long-kept Tuck family secret is threatened. Winnie is forced to choose between returning to her dull, former life and staying with the Tucks forever. "Tuck" possesses an appreciable theme about the circle of life, laying out some notable concepts about the fear of death and the consequences of immortality. Living forever would definitely, eventually suck… Wise of the writers to administer this lesson to young viewers while they still have a lot of life to look forward to. It's sort of brave of them and I admire that. The film has an alluring, woodsy production design, incredibly fitting for its calm and lulling musical score. They draw you into the Tucks' plainly hidden territory and their peculiar, old-fashioned way of life… As I see it, the studio would have benefited greatly had the film been given a PG-13 rating, but Disney wouldn't release their first PG-13 film until a year later with "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl". "Tuck Everlasting" certainly had the star power to reach the box office potential of some of the more mature, subsequent, Disney films… The chemistry between Bledel and Jackson starts off a bit shaky, considering that they hadn't met prior to shooting more sentimental scenes, but I think that this was a wise Director choice. Winnie Foster (Bledel) initially doesn't trust the newly-acquainted Tucks and rightfully so; her character's shyness towards them is totally rational as are her moments of affection when she begins to gain confidence in them. Ben Kingsley was a standout as the Man in the Yellow Suit, giving a compellingly uncanny performance ONYL to be BUMPED OFF in the SISSIEST way imaginable. Nevertheless, "Tuck Everlasting" was a decent watch. It isn't gonna be in your top ten favorites list, but you could think of it as I do: background noise of the highest quality….72%.
