The film Twisters from 2024 was a whirlwind of a film. Between the action-packed scenes with the tornados, to the tugging of heartstrings at just how much of an impact these storms can have, this film had it all. The film follows Kate and Tyler, two rival storm chasers who have unique ways of tracking the storms. While Kate uncovers the truth about her friend’s business, Tyler learns why Kate has a difficult past with tornados. Uncovering these truths the two decide to work together to achieve her long forgotten dream. This film will pull the viewer in so many different directions emotionally and even if it was not the director’s goal it was certainly achieved it. One of the best things about this film is the action in all the storm chasing scenes. They will have you on the edge of your seat, and will have the panic setting in. Tornados are one of the most unpredictable natural disasters out there. They come out of nowhere and die out the same way. This film will give the viewer such an immersive feeling and the feeling they are there in the middle of Tornado Valley. I cannot rave enough about how amazing the special effects of this film were. Creating those tornados on screen but also creating those effects in real life so the actors’ movements matched what would be happening takes incredible talent. The use of the film’s soundtrack was phenomenal. The soundtrack that was created for this film fits the overall aesthetic this film was going for. The music adds to the scenes and gives them power when needed and emotion when needed. I am a firm believer that the soundtrack in a film can make or break it. Music adds so much feeling and emotion to anything its included in. This film leans into that with its soundtrack. I feel as viewers we can often get so involved with what is happening on the screen that the music is lost to background noise. However, this film does not let this happen, the music was used in a way that keeps the viewer engaged in the background noise. This film took every aspect of film making and excelled at it. There were so many different elements, but one never outshined the other. Each element had their time to shine, and it was done well. This film was enjoyable to watch, kept me on the edge of my seat, and warmed my heart all at the same time. I cannot say enough good things about this film. With that in mind, I would rate this film 5 stars.

Entertainment that, for new viewers on the subject, can be a cinematic spectacle. For those who are “old cowboys” and have “fled” hurricanes before, in the scenes without tornadoes there is nothing that adds to the franchise, but it is a well-made “repeated” fable. Now, the fear and tension go through the roof (...tudum pish 🥁 …) to the point that we fear “flying” out the window on even clear days, with praise, when nature presents us with twisters as if it were a horror movie…

First off, it's not as good as Twister. Jan de Bont really knew how to set up thrilling action sequences. And, Bill Paxton, that movie was just the perfect staring role for him. That said, it's really good. Glenn and Daisy are excellent leads. It's exciting, thrilling and well worth a watch.

One of the most disappointing movies I've seen in a long time. Basically every character is insufferable and the acting is on par with a b horror movie but trying to be taken seriously.

It keeps you happy and entertained, but,writing wise is pretty average

A rollercoaster that was worth being on… just the once. The gun ho, ye haw Americanness of half the characters was really annoying. The plot felt like one I’d seen a million time only this time with tornados. An inordinate amount of tornados. A ridiculous amount of tornados. All in all just silly but worth watching once if you can bear Americans being very American and stereotyping Brits as being painfully repressed, stiff and pathetic.

Fantastically fun film! Compelling characters that fail and grow and great special effects. The criticisms that it’s “poorly written” are so unfair. The story is simple and I liked it that way because it didn’t get in its own way like so many movies these days. Refreshing and enjoyable, kept me hooked the whole way through!

Twisters took the beloved 1996 classic and injects it with a refreshing, modern twist. The film doesn’t just rely on nostalgia. It introduces new, compelling characters while staying true to the heart-pounding storm-chasing action that made the original so thrilling. The special effects are next-level, showcasing jaw-dropping tornado sequences that feel both realistic and awe-inspiring. The focus on climate change was a little much for me. But was able to overlook it because it wasn't pushy. Strong performances, particularly from lead character played by Daisy Edgar-Jones, elevate the film, making Twisters a perfect blend of old-school thrills and fresh innovation.

A daft film, with a stupid plot. Group of people chasing a Twister storm, Every time they chase it, it causes devastations, puts their lives im danger and they have to escape. I just don’t know why they just didn’t stay at home.

Apart from using 'new age technology ' this movie should have remained in the 90's. Good actors who tried thier best with a thin script. Also why did I find the soundtrack annoying... way to twee.

Twisters was exactly the popcorn disaster flick I hoped for—big storms, impressive visuals, and high-energy action. Sure, the dialogue gets cheesy, but it’s pure entertainment. Perfect for a casual movie night when you just want to have fun.

Im not sure if these are bot reviews, but this is the most poorly written, underwhelming movie I’ve seen in a long time. A very lazy money grab trying to cash in on the appeal of the classic. The only thing more cringe than this movie are these absolutely false reviews.

I guess I watched a different movie than some others. JFC this is a horrible movie! Everything about it, script, story line, production, all of it. The real damning part is that it has done a disservice to the original.

Surprisingly enjoyable. It's not breaking any barriers but it was fun. I was expecting it to be lazily written garbage like most entertainment nowadays but it proved me wrong.
