Two Night Stand Reviews
I laughed. I cried. I really liked the music. So I danced too!
Disclaimer: It's a bit "dirty" (I usually don't prefer/recommend films like that). However, this is SUCH a cute movie! The two main characters are very quirky. It's super fun to watch their chemistry as it develops. Essentially, they both get trapped in the same apartment due to a snow storm. They had a one night stand the night before the snow storm started. And in between their initial encounter and the end of the snow storm, they fall in love (of course lol). But there are definitely a few bumps in that fall. I hope you enjoy!
Nice to see fresh & diverse perspectives on life choices represented on film -yes some peoples hearts desire is to be a happy homemaker it's nice to see it celebrated
Personally, I love this movie! I love Miles Teller, and the other gal was really great. A great, romantic comedy, a feel good kind of movie💞
Fun, light, good acting. You cannot go wrong with watching this feel good movie.
A surprisingly decent movie full of B-list actors, (Well, one B-List lead and a whole bunch of lower level talent). The main girl was like the love child of Emma Stone mixed with Hillary Duff, in all the best ways. Surprising amount of awkward chemistry, and even some funny laughs. Not quite a masterpiece, but definitely a hidden gem.
Funny but unrealistic. If these are the adults in our future, were doomed
You know the two leads are very good - Tipton and Teller - and the script is nifty, even if the premise is bonkers... not really good thinking to encourage the idea that it is ever safe for the 'girl' go over to the 'man's' place for a hook-up... ever...
This is a fun, quirky rom com that is an easy watch! It's a guilty pleasure for sure. I'm pretty surprised by all the bad reviews, no it isn't an Oscar winning film….it's a silly rom com and a lot better than most out there!
Really not very good at all. Charmless, unengaging and lightweight
Bem fofinho, amei o desfecho dramaticozinho…
I see a Miles Teller movie, I watch and I enjoy. Because of him. Only him. If he wasn't in this, it would be a zero stars from me. Analeigh was painful to watch throughout all 86 minutes.
I'm about to watch this movie for the second time- don't remember much from first watch but do remember I really liked it. Surprised at the ratings. Might update this later. Funny, witty, romantic- that's what I remember.
I heard about this in Analeigh Tipton's filmography and it sounded interesting, but it had Miles Teller and I am not a fan of his work. Eventually, I decided to watch it out of boredom, and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. Megan is a beautiful young woman who has been aimless since she broke up with her fiancé as she spends her days with her roommate who repeatedly tells her to move on and get a life. One bad outing with her friends and she decides enough is enough and decides to have a fling with someone online. His name is Alec, a handsome young man with a boring job and no ambition as he welcomes the chance to be with a gorgeous girl. The two have a one-night stand at his apartment but the awkwardness from the next morning is profound as she attempts to leave it at that. But a New York blizzard locks her in his building and the two begin to tolerate each other and eventually become more friendly. With one night of sex between them, they begin to be open between each other especially after some funny moments. They have another night of sex and it becomes something better but a secret that Alec kept from Megan comes out and she leaves as soon as the storm has subsided, and the snowplows have done their job. It is almost the New Year and Alec is going to let a wonderful girl slip from his grasp. A final funny act of desperation ends the story beautifully. I do not like romantic comedies, mostly because they are more comedy than romance. Worse, that the comedy is so obscenely infantile that it is unwatchable. Despite the youth of the performers they play the comedy very well and the romance is sweet. I enjoy that the two become friendly at first before having their second chance at sex as well as showing both have their secrets so that it becomes increasingly more realistic than other romantic comedies I have seen before. I am shocked that this does not have the full Blu-ray treatment because it is that great a movie. Analeigh Tipton is model material but has a girl next door persona that makes her adorable, she truly can be great as an actress. Miles Teller in other works tries too hard but, in this movie, comes across as believable and at ease as the man looking for love. I cannot praise this movie enough, it has a great story, great acting, and great actors in the making.
Really wanted this to be better; vaguely sweet; good casting with middling chemistry; middle of the movie is best
This is a vastly underrated comedy/drama with convincing performances by Teller and Tipton. The dialogue is witty and original, and you are always rooting for Megan and Alec even when they are saying foolish things and making dumb choices. The ending is earned and more than satisfying. I love this film!
