Vampire Academy Reviews
I think it's enjoyable and fun to watch and I have seen it several times it does not get old it's possible that some of my friends and family members would like it
I very much enjoyed this movie as I believe the plot was very engaging and a pretty well put together, maybe messy at times but still quite good. also had great performances from the cast. The only real problem I had was with some of the editing and a few of the directors choices. Overall a very fun movie that I’ll probably watch again.
The acting is so rigid and flavorless, it makes the Twilight Saga look like Oscar Award winning performances. I can't even begin with how horrible the script is, and how bad the plot was. It makes a poorly written fanfiction by a 13 year old with bad grammar look more appealing.
Loved the books, loved the movie, wish they would continue on with making another movie or five
Brilliant movie. Vampire academy is my favourite book series and it does a great staying true to the universe created in the books 10/10 movie
This film was watchable with Zoey Deutch, but was not enough to overcome the cliche title of Vampire Academy. Before I started to watch this film, I would believe it might be possibly related to Twilight, but unfortunately worst than I expected as Twilight does have some essence of a story that is about a couple. In here, it's unclear of whether a couple exists between the young cast. I did not like Kurylenko's portrayal because she gives off a nasty snobbiness that brought frustration as I reviewed it. The love that the characters have for one another is weak to none, complicated by Sarah Hyland's and Gabriel Byrne's transition. This is a film that I watched once, and most likely only once.
Dracula would put put a stake in his own heart and go into the sun. This movie is very very bad.
I think the movie is quite pretty and an accurate portrayal of the world created in the book series. In my opinion this is a kind of movie where reading the books first is a must.
It is beyond me why i like this movie so much. It has become a guilty pleasure of mine. I understand why others don't like it. But heck... i don't care. I'll just enjoy it and it's possible you will too!
IMO people are overly harsh on this one. I liked it! It's certainly not perfect - it's cheesy and cringey at times, and the marketing framing of it as somehow similar to Mean Girls was an awful misfire - but the casting was pretty on point, the characters and plot are engaging and relatively faithful to the book, and I enjoyed it overall. It looks particularly good in retrospect after watching some of the new Vampire Academy 온라인카지노추천 series, which is even cheesier and cringier without the positive attributes that the movie had. I wish this version was a 온라인카지노추천 series instead, because it had good fundamentals, just needed some adjustments (different framing, more time to develop the characters and narrative arc, etc). Such a shame! Would have liked to see some sort of follow-up or sequel to see if they could keep going and correct some of the missteps. As it is, I think this movie is unfairly maligned - despite its flaws, it's an enjoyable entry and a halfway decent adaptation of the source material (unlike the 온라인카지노추천 series).
this is my go-to movie it can be cringy at some points but what were you expecting from a 2014 teen flick about vampires it's good overall it's genuinely funny and a good teen flick compared to what I've seen in recent years(Riverdale) also excited for the tv show but have a felling its gona take its self whay to Sirius and take away all of Roses sarcastic personality also Dimitry looks way too close to roses age and I think he is British now?
Very simple and banal film for girls with a very banal plot and a banal development, the vampires in the end are almost only the background because if they were all normal people the plot would not change much and this is a big problem for a film that makes vampires his focal point of attraction.
"Vampire Academy" is a completely trashy movie that only its target demographic will maybe like. This movie tries to be a unique young adult fictional universe, but it is so bland compared to a lot of similar counterparts. The story is not engaging and the world is not interesting. I felt bored watching this movie more than anything and even when the fights and twists were happening near the end, I just didn't care. Overall, I think a lot of the cast involved in the movie have done better projects and think this movie is completely skippable and a total misfire.
I watched it when I was halfway through the book. I was satisfied. I really enjoyed the movie but I have a problem with it. It left out some really funny moments from the book. Okay, the part where the mean girl ensures her teacher catches her passing notes, in the book that scene was hella funny but in the movie it was lame. I feel like they should have added a few of the humorous scenes. Without them, the movie is too serious. In the book, Rose was quite witty and a troublemaker, but the movie took a lot away from her character. Sad.
Fantabulous, splendiferous, amazing, intelligent, groundbreaking. That is what vampire academy is. Any person no matter race, age, sexuality, etc will have something to take away from this film. My personal favorite scene that I relate the most to, spoilers incoming....is when Dimitri in his delicious Russian accent (I have a fetish for Russians) told Rose "I love your dress" followed up with "Let's burn it" it was so sultry and made shivers tingle all over my lower spine. I have never been more lubricated. Absolutely fantastic film. Groundbreaking CGI.
Vampire Academy strives to be a serious film, however, it ends up presenting an uninspired script.
I actually really like this movie. At times it does get a little cheesy but I still like it and have watched it multiple times. It's funny and it's entertaining. I know it got poor marks and I hate that because it means that the second movie that was supposed to happen, didn't. It ends on a major cliff hanger and I'm still salty we didn't get to see that play out. I would still recommend watching this movie if you are a fan of the vampire genre.
