I wish I could give this a 0 star rating. Not even 30 minutes into the movie and I turned it off. The first scene of the movie shows 2 men sexually assault a woman (lifting her shirt and recording her chest). This made me so uncomfortable watching this happen, even if this was fake. Other than that, I was very confused the whole 12 minutes I watched this film. The camera work was lousy, the acting is mediocre and the audio is terrible I couldn’t understand what was going on. Do not recommend!!

A pretty decent effort - an anthology of found-footage format stories that are all tied together through another found-footage style setup. Pretty decent effects and definitely creepy, but the jankiness of the filming makes it a bit difficult to watch at times. Still, a worthy effort, and it made me want to explore the remainder of the series.

A idéia geral até que é bacana, um conjunto de contos amarrados por uma história de roubo. Cada conto com sua direção específica, o que daí para mim, prejudica a qualidade do filme. Nem todo conto tem uma boa construção, e dai acaba pecando em algum requisito. Acho que maquiagem e efeitos são os principais problemas, seguidos de roteiro com lacunas que deixam a história sem explicação de alguns fatos. Tomara que seja explicado nas sequências, e dai até justificaria tal suspense, senão torna-se um grande problema para este projeto.

This one was all over the place.

V/H/S may be actually unnerving in some segments like the Skype call one and the wrap-around and that some characters are actually good and solid. However, the film is heavily sunken down on how weird and perverted most of the characters in this movie are and how the main protagonists are very foul and make the movie an grueling experience. Especially when they mention that they get paid for sexually assaulting women. Overall, this is a lackluster first installment that feels too long and follows awful and weird protagonists. 4/10

This one was a nostalgia trip for me, something I watched in my formative horror movie years. A menagerie of mostly disjointed short stories without much of any magnetism to speak of for any of the movies happenings. A decent time waster to be sure but nothing special.

What starts as a simple premise with shock value found footage, some segments are good but most are bad due to lack of imagination and some flat acting.

Film horror assurdo, talmente originale da non poter essere definito fallimento a prescindere dal suo risultato qualitativo. Quattro racconti macabri, diversi e totalmente senza logica che in comune presentano solamente i tratti dell'horror, dello splatter e dell'amatoriale. Lo stile di regia in found footage è onestamente molto movimentato e confusionario, a tratti conferisce credibilità mentre a tratti risulta creare qualche mal di testa. Non c'è finale, non c'è logica e non c'è spiegazione. Complessivamente l'idea e la materializzazione sono sufficienti ed offrono qualcosa di unico a suo modo e difficilmente replicabile. Sicuramente ci vuole del tempo per assorbire quello che si è visto.

Breaking the heart of a succubus. A digital killer stalks the woods. Heroism isn't rewarded. With a wraparound featuring criminals hired to steal a VHS tape, this is the first installment of the popular franchise. It's very rough and oftentimes the rapid and confusing erratic movements of cameras can be disorienting but overall I found this to be an enjoyable diversion. I'm especially drawn to the first tale, which has a seemingly naïve young woman who may be experiencing actual attraction for the first time. I really felt empathy with her and her damaged feelings.

2012's 'V/H/S' is the film which started off the very underated and underground franchise of the same name. SYNOPSIS: 'When a group of misfits are hired by an unknown third party to burglarize a desolate house and acquire a rare VHS tape, they discover more found footage than they bargained for.' There's no big budget here but you'd not expect there to be when this is a film about found footage VHS tapes. What 'V/H/S' does really well is to have individual segments/stories that are genuinely terrifying and induce a real sense of dread and unease. Bloody isn't half of the matter! The twisted logic of the over-arching story is also brilliantly done and connects everything together nicely. A real horror gem. 7/10

I really didn't like this movie at all as much as i really like watching horror movies and wanted to watch this found footage movie but turns out that this is just terrible i get confused sometimes during watching this because i don't know if it is them watching the VHS or actually real not watching and that someone is trying to kill the characters. Also the characters were really unlikeable but one thing is it's cool to see Tyler from the director of scream 5 and 6 plus ready or not. Overall i didn't like this movie and it was too confusing and kind of long I wanted to return this to the library after watching a little bit its terrible.

I think this is actually the worst shot movie of all time. I cannot comprehend how anyone can recommend this movie or even enjoys it. About 45 minutes into the movie I checked my timestamp and was astonished that I wasn't twice as long into the movie. This movie drags on for ever so much useless "footage". As for it being a horror film its not scary at all just goofy and gross. The story is all over the place with very little character development. In fact almost every single character Is just awful and unlikable. I wish on everything that I had this two hours of my life back, If I had paid for this movie I could never forgive myself. 0/10 stars

I made an account just so I can say how much this movie sucked. If you're into terrible storylines, lots of rapey scenes and shaky headache inducing cinematography...this movie is for you.

No entiendes porque suceden las cosas, pero su terror que parece real y no ficción te da un tensión y un trauma que quieres seguir consumiendo.
