Villain Reviews
Worth a watch on a rainy afternoon. Violent, but in a late night 온라인카지노추천 kind of way. Craig Fairbrass delivers exactly what is required and it's nice to see Robert Glenister on the screen (his brother Philip is all over UK 온라인카지노추천 at the moment).
Was not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. What it lacks in gloss it makes up for in grit. A truly realistic exposition of life on the wrong side of the law. The characters are likewise believable and the acting exceptional at times. This comes together to create some truly visceral moments. Izuka Hoyle was brilliant in the final scene, and the directors choice to linger on such emotional moments is very powerful.
Well acted and a notch up from the usual London gangster film. Fairbrass carries it well
A street level hard man movie with personality and humanity which avoids the invulnerable fearless protagonist trope of Statham type movies. The story unfolds artfully with some striking camera work and editing, unusual for the genre. The violence still packs a punch and should still satisfy those looking for an action/ revenge movie.
After a slow start this turns into a gripping stomach churner! You know it's going to end badly but you don't expect this! Well worth watching. Craig Fairbrass is excellent as the wronged brother who tries to do right by his family.
Started off like it was going somewhere. Nice to have a tragedy, but I didn't feel much for a villain who'd been out of jail for a week and went right back to crime. A little focus on some characters that mattered would have been better.
I thought this film would be a low budget ‘okay to watch' type of film. However, from the start until the end I was thoroughly engulfed in the excellent acting, production and direction and have now watched it twice. I would put this at the top of the Craig Fairbrass cinematography list and recommend it to all who like this genre of film. To sum up, SUPERB!!!
A good, easy watching, short east end gangster movie. A bit of action and story
Not exactly groundbreaking but not emotional than a lot of these formulaic gangster movies. Fairbrass did very well to play emotion alongside his usual gangster tone.
Released from jail back into an East End that hasn't existed since well before he went in, a suntanned Craig Fairbrass gives a familiarly one dimensional performance as an ex con making a succession of bad decisions. His desire to go straight lasts as long as his reading glasses , and with the aid of a script that could fit on to a side of A4 and was probably rejected by East Enders, we are treated to a rehash of the usual gangster tropes. These are at least kept afloat by efficient performances from the rest of the cast , as well as some nice shots of Craig's cleaning , DIY and baby care skills ,inserted without apology for the benefit of his loyal female fan base. If you're a paid up member , then this is up your dark alley, but if not you might just think it would have been better not to bother at all, what with the carbon footprint and global warming being where it is.
Despite some strong performances, specially from Graig Fairbrass. The movie with its mass produced, formulaic and predictable story, has no help from Philip Barantini with its heavy handed, at times sloppy directing style .
Always been a fan of Craig Fairbrass. Some of his films I have thoroughly enjoyed, also some pretty bad ones. I enjoyed this film alot, a british gangster classic and also rather emotional. Defiantly worth a watch.
Just another flick about criminals ending badly. No surprises with plenty of violence.
What a literal parasite of a brother . Great acting though I legitimately hate him as a bystander 3.2
Surprisingly better than I expected. Villain is a well-crafted suspenseful thriller with good actors and an intriguing plot.
