Violent Night Reviews
My favorite christmas movie
Terrible movie. Probably the worst movie I’ve ever spent money on. Do no waste your money.
Not for me. Santa just single handedly took out an entire army… that was just too much in my eyes. I found plot just a bit too boring. Can see though how some would enjoy it, just not my type of movie.
Die Hard in mansion Santa style! Great action,, and comical gory fun. Worth the watch!
I enjoyed this film. It's probably the best Christmas horror but there isn't much competition. For the record I've been to Bristol and Bristol doesn't look like how it does in the movie and most people from Bristol don't sound like that so that wasn't a good start. The characters are mostly unlikeable which actually worked well in this film. It could well be the only good film that has a Stranger Things (2016-) cast member in that isn’t Stranger Things. The fight scenes are really good. The film is entertaining and charismatic. Santa's character arc is surprisingly well rounded. The film is funny. The film lost momentum in the final act and I wasn't the biggest fan of the ending but overall an above average film and a well above average Christmas horror comedy.
Had comedy and action and definitely worth a watch
A hilarious premise that has an ok execution. The slapstick violence can sometimes be hilariously creative and bloody, but can sometimes it can overindulge in the gore. The humor and satire can be hit-or-miss as well, but luckily the hits are strong enough to make this worth a watch.
Absolutely loved it! Great fun and plenty of violence!
I was so looking forward to this but it was a massive let down, the trailer truly is a "best of" montage. I mean it's not terrible but it could've been so much better. I don't think I will watch it again
Great movie, little cheesy but I love it
DESERT ISLAND FILM...the chemistry is magical...funny, action-packed and full of heart, who could ask for anything more?
Santa knows if you've been bad. And he'll take you out. Very fun from start to finish. I loved the juiced-up hommage to Home Alone booby trapping.
This is a fun movie for the season.
Full of gory and gratuitous violence, this is an astonishingly poor choice for Christmas, completely inappropriate for kids. RT should be honest about that. I wish I hadn’t wasted a couple hours watching it.
Looking for an edgier R rated Christmas movie? My new Die Hard (action Christmas movie)! Well look no further! Word is they are doing a sequel!
It's OK, it's even tradition to watch sweet movies during Christmas. In the morning I watch It's a wonderful life. But the movie I enjoy the most from when I remember from Christmas days is this, Violent Night. David Harbour, he is amazing for this alternative and fresh Santa Claus version. And no matter the kills and blood, it's a fun movie to watch.
An interesting watch, the script was cringey and seemed forced on several occasions. Sort of reminded me of a bad comedic die hard rip off. However it was quite funny and John Leguizamo put on a great performance as usual!
Home Alone not violent enough? this movie has you covered! From the silly goofs the outright copies of home alone this movie will make you laugh and feel sorry for the many many many dead naughty listers as they come to find their end in a very violent way even the nice list kid gets to kill a naughty lister!!
Definitely violent! Definitely hilarious! A must see adult Christmas movie. Haven’t enjoyed a movie as much in absolutely ages.
This isn't just an action movie set at Christmas, it's a true Christmas movie: with real Santa, Christmas magic, redemption, reindeer, true believers, the whole thing. I even teared up at one point. And it's very, very funny. If you don't like dark humor and cartoonish violence, (think live action looney tunes) this is not the movie for you. If Home Alone + Bad Santa + Die Hard + your favorite "true meaning of Christmas" movie sounds good, then you will like it. David Harbour was perfectly cast.
