Wayne's World 2 Reviews
A great movie , unfortunately it gets a bit lost towards the end. It’s still one you can watch over and over
It’s not as funny as the the first Wayne’s World, Wayne and Garth , still bring it in the sequel. Saw both of the movies when they first came out 92-93. Still enjoy watching ithem. Definitely worth viewing.
If you've ever wondered why this sequel is so bad, read the Wikipedia article on it. Mike Myers is not a smart person.
This idea of the film shooting technique director made the film more attractive to people.
Liked it as much as the original.
for a sequel, I was astonished at how good and funny it was. Not as good as the original but worth your time
It has the same look, feel, and actors from the first and only follows a year after the first. In theory all the assets are here that are needed for this to capture the magic of the first. However, the one thing missing is the clever wittiness and in place there is more randomness and nonsensical humor and references. The script is the main problem but also the jokes are very hit or miss. The first 5-10 minutes is pretty good, than it gets very flat and random for awhile, than it starts to find it's stride before running out of gas and barely limping to the finish. The message is kind of heartfelt at the end but it just needed to be told in a better way. the whole concert and love stories for both Garth and Wayne feel like they never intertwine and could've been cut. The music is stilly pretty solid and the acting chemistry isn't bad despite the jokes being very hit or miss. The cinematography really look s like the first to a tee but just doesn't have the same witty jokes but it still isn't bad. The editing is just ok as well. Again it feels like it loses focus lots of times but it relies on the acting energy and look and feel of the first to carry it across the finish line. As it is it's a fun enough time and recaptures certain parts of what made the first so good but misses one of the most important parts, a story as witty. Let alone building off of the first or expanding ideas in a focused way. Anyone who loves 90's comedies or any actors in this would probably like this.
Wayne's World 1 is a stone cold classic. 2, in isolation, isn't that bad. Just kind of mediocre. Like someone handed in the first draft and they just went with it. But I made the unfortunate decision to watch 1 and 2 back to back. Stacked against 1, 2 is a pretty bad film. The plot element of having a concert is nice, but the B story, Cassandra's part, is a total retread of her arc in 1. Wayne comes up with a stupid reason to part, jealousy, again, she runs off with her manager type dude and he tries to put the moves on her, it's tired stuff. And because we've seen it play out in 1, it's not interesting or funny. The main plot, the concert, is mildly entertaining, but so many of the jokes just don't land. Tonally, 1 was brilliant. 2, however, feels directed by someone who didn't share the sensibilities of 1's director. All the pieces are there with a great cast of endearing characters, but the story had me looking at my watch multiple times and it just doesn't feel fun. The first movie's vibe was a delight. Knowing they churned this out just one year after 1 hit theaters helps me understand why it feels rushed, hollow, etc. A massive wasted opportunity to turn this into a multi-film franchise. A few chuckles, but nothing great. 1 is the superior film. 2, on its own merits, is just kind of there.
Number 2 is not as creative as the original still has funny moments just doesn't hold up to the first 5/10
The first time you were able and you had to do something about the situation you had with your family you had a good relationship and I was very proud to have met your mother I am very happy that she is going through with you I hope that she will continue her life and that she is not going through this anymore I am so sorry for the inconvenience but it was the last time that she had been able and she had been through with her mother I am very very happy with you I will talk with her I am so very proud
LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 34 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Starring Dana Carvey, Mike Myers, and the late Chris Farley (1964-97)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There wasn't enough for 1 film let alone 2.

"EX CELL ENT!!" Sort o cross twix 'The Graduate' & "WAYNESTOCK". Christopher Walken. Saw it first time 2.12.22, on the Movie Channel.
I've been watching this damn movie for nearly 30 years. It's goofy as hell and will forever make me laugh.
I am not a big fan of Wayne's world 2. Wayne's world 2 is alright for me. It is definitely not great as the original Wayne's world. Wayne's world 2 is not my type of movie. I am a big fan of the 1st Wayne's world movie. It's got Christopher Walken in it which I really like him. The film is really not special to me. The 2nd Wayne's world movie is different from the original. It's pretty overrated for me. I prefer the original over Wayne's world 2. The 2nd film does not stay true to the original in my opinion. I don't remember much of Wayne's world 2. It's an alright movie.
A mediocre comedy with a couple memorable comedic moments. The best parts are Wayne's dream and the Graduate ending spoof. Other than that, it's pretty forgettable. I wasn't invested in the story.
