Wild Things Reviews
Wild Things has always been known for its saucy scenes but when you watch it for more that that in my later life I found a funny, interesting, well acted movie with a great cast, score and even a hint of great cinematography across the Florida glades.
A wickedly entertaining neo-noir thriller, Wild Things is both smarter and trashier than it has any right to be. The cast leans into the pulp with delicious results - Neve Campbell and Denise Richards, in particular, bring unexpected depth. The direction is slick, the twists keep coming and it knows exactly when to wink. Delightfully lurid and never boring.
GUILTY PLEASURE...don't let the hollywood A list cast fool you, it's a CAMP CLASSIC...a trailer trash, high IQ teen is the heroine and the web she weaves sublime...LOVE IT...1) do you need another reason to adore neve campbell 2) denise richards boldly naked every chance she gets...no wonder she was married to whatshisface...
Really enjoyed this movie. It's got everything including an all star cast! You shall not be disappointed
I really like this movie, cheese and all. They had me at Matt Dillon and Bill Murray. Kevin Bacon is all bonus. Theresa Russell almost ruins it with her soap opera acting style, but then you have Carrie Snodgrass and Neve Campbell to bring it home.
Well, I've had the interest in seeing this movie because there's something interesting that had me hooked when it comes to thrillers like this but now there's something different that you may not expect even when the push comes to shove. In Miami suburb of Blue Bay, a wealthy teen-socialite student Kelly Van Ryan played by Denise Richards, accuses her high school guidance counselor, Sam Lombardo played by Matt Dillon, of raping her, her outcast classmate Suzie Toller played by Neve Campbell, suffers the same trauma. He hires his attorney Kenneth Bowden played by Bill Murray, to defend him at trial. During the trial, he’s suspended by the school, rejected by the town, and he's fighting to get his life back. There are a lot of surprising things that happened in this movie like the twists and turns are one thing that is if you can count how many of them are there, one memorable scene that you didn't expect to happen, Bill Murray is in it, didn't expect to see him in it. The eroticness is something that'll get you engaged even though the film itself was followed by the direct-to-DVD sequels both of which I haven't seen and I didn't know there are sequels to this movie considering that the sequels appeared to be crap although like they always say "The first one is always a superior one." and you don't want direct-to-DVD sequels to exist. Wild Things is a good erotic crime thriller which some people find it to be trashy 'cause the twists are too much but what the hell. Oh, plot twist, plot twist, plot twist.
Perigoso e lascivo, um enredo que prende do início ao fim e surpreende pela genialidade do roteiro e a atuação de seus protagonistas. Apesar de um final morno, vale a pena conferir esse suspense psicológico de tirar o fôlego.
Don't get it, the ending got tedious... Was it him, was it her... I couldn't careless at the end
the best teen crime stories i ever seen 10 out of 10
Is it meant to be so bad? Seems most of the actors figured out it was so bad the best thing to do is play up the camp. That paid off, because it's one of those, "it's so bad, it's....watchable."
While it's a bit heavy on the twists, the film's story is intriguing and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Wild Things works best as a teen thriller thanks to its lead stars, Neve Campbell and Denise Richards. Matt Dillon matches their crazy but fails to outshine his talented costars. You'd be doing yourself a favor not taking this film too seriously because that's the only way you'll look past its flaws and even actually enjoy it.
Worse movie I've ever seen. Its like a mexican telenovela
If you're into mindless transparency blatantly pandering to extremely obvious ignorance that's as "shallow as water in the desert in a drought"? WILD THINGS is definitely what you're craving for. Flush immediately before it stinks up the entire john...!
One of my favourite movies ! You start out with a "been there, seen that " feeling, and then you can't but notice that there's something more going on...and it's only during the end credits ( really, don't zap until the last minute ! ) that the truth is revealed. Absolutely recommended it to all my friends !
if you like twists this is suited for you
I thought the DVD cover was misleading because I thought it was a horror movie, and put off watching it. It's actually a crime movie with lots of twists and turns, where the viewer is never sure who's good and who's bad, or indeed what their motives are. It's set in Florida, so for the most part it's bright and sunny and pleasant to watch. The characters are interesting, and the story progresses rapidly so I never got bored. My only criticism is that it can all get a little confusing at times and it's easy to loose the plot if you don't concentrate.
The film did what it wanted it to do, which was to make us all talk about it, even 25 years later people still talk about this movie. it is sad to think that the movie motel scene is what anyone remembers of this film at all even today. but take away the sex and violence you have a crime thriller that thinks it is way too clever. too many plot twists to count. the movie in all makes one want to shower when the end credits roll on the screen.
Begins as a deft police procedural with an interesting setting and by the second half devolves into sleazy CSI: Miami fodder.
Matt Dillon & Bill Murray pace an everglades thinker with Richards & Campbell at their 90's finest.
haven't seen this in ages but remember it was good
