Winnie the Pooh Reviews
I would recommend watching!
This movie is really good (it was once the BMOAT (best movie of all time) but not anymore) because it got somewhat old. I have seen this movie so many times, but it was good every time. My only complaint is that it was only 1h 9m. I wish it could have gone on longer... OH MY GOSH, IS THIS A PIT!? I THINK I'VE FALLEN IN A PIT!
It’s certainly a refreshing way to end the era of Disney 2d animation. Winnie the Pooh 2011 keeps the light theme and vibes from the Winnie the Pooh stories with good animation. Specially good on numbers such as “The Backson” where the chalk like style it’s really cute and full of personality and “Everything is Honey” where the honey is really well animated. And Rabbit is amazing, as always! My only bad thing to say is how short it is, sadly
Yes, just yes. 8/10.
In the last 2D animated Disney movie, the 100 acre wood gang attempt to save Christopher Robin from an imaginary foe while Pooh is dealing with a lack of honey. I am a huge Winnie the Pooh fan and this movie hits all the right beats. The songs for this film were written by Robert and Kristen Anderson-Lopez and are terrific, with “It’s Gonna be Great” being a personal favorite. This would set the duo up to write the music for Frozen. The animation is wonderful and probably the best animated Winnie the Pooh movie. Jim Cummings returns and Pooh and Tiger and his voices are so iconic. Travis Oates also returns as Piglet and does a great job. Newcomers include John Cleese as the narrator, Tom Kenny who nails Rabbit, Craig Ferguson who brings a needed comedic flair to Owl and Bud Luckey who voices Eeyore. The best part of this film is the writing! There are several scenes that make me laugh everytime I see them, which is hard to do for me. It is unfortunate that this film didn’t perform well in theaters, but I highly recommend that you check this gem of a film out!
I remember how my parents gave me a book based on this movie. This was my first acquaintance with Winnie the Pooh. I read it several times and even now, after 12 years, when I watch this film, I remember the book and my childhood with sincere joy.
Kids would love this film. I enjoyed the humor and John Cleese's narration. However, there should be more to explore than the simple plot we were given.
The only complaint I was going to have was nullified once I remembered that Winnie the Pooh stories are imaginary games Christopher Robin plays in his head, to my understanding. The film is fun, jovial, innocent, and surprisingly, really funny.
It's charming and whimsical with loveable characters.
Worst Film Ever The Story is so Stupid and Terrible I Used to Like It Then I Hate It I Will Get 1/10
Love this movie! Great honey animation! I love Tom Kenny played as Rabbit! Out of all the Winnie the Pooh versions, this is the perfect one! The Backson scene is pretty scary for a G rated movie! Although, I wish Lumpy the Heffalump was in it, it would’ve been perfect. He’s a sweet kid like Roo.
This is a sweet movie for children! I am not a child anymore, but this movie still gives a great rewatch every time I revisit! I sticks close to the source material. The only downsize for this movie is how short it is. Other than that the movie has a very thin plot, but than again this is close to the source material so I am not bothered by this. The characters are simple, but very enjoyable especially the titular character Winnie the Pooh. The soundtrack and songs are also great. Overall a sweet and great movie. Sad that they won't make 2D animation movies anymore!
I was never a particularly big fan of Pooh growing up, and somehow this movie feels like pure Whimsy captured in a bottle
That Warm Fuzzy Feeling Going to see this movie was like stepping back into childhood. I had the 1977 movie on VHS when I was young and I wore that tape out with countless viewings. I was also a big fan of the cartoon show than ran during the nineties and the many direct-to-video films that came out around that time too. So I already walk into this movie with nostalgia on my mind - knowing roughly what to expect, and the film delivers pretty much what you've seen before. It follows the structure of the 1977 movie mostly, telling three different stories over the length of the film. Which may have worked in 1977, but today if you cut the film apart into these three sections you could just release them as specials on the Disney channel. The voice work is as good as it needs to be. Jim Cummings is enigmatic as always and Bud Luckey is a nice addition as Eeyore. It's not Disney's best dubbing job but far from their worst. The film is far too short, there was definitely time for another story should there have been one. 70 minutes shouldn't really be acceptable for a cinema release, under any circumstances. All qualms I have with the movie are overshadowed by its innocence and joy. Children who go to see this movie may love it, but adults may love it more.
The greatest ending of the greatest series. When I watch Kung fu panda movies, I always get different feelings
Háganse un favor y no la vean, es ridícula y aburrida
Archie’s review: “I liked that funny part! When the words started moving! I just love the funny parts! I liked the main character. You know, the bear. The characters fell in the pit. Except for one character that didn’t. The pinkish red one.” 🍯
A charming film centred around Winnie the Pooh and his friends. The animation in this film allows it to stand out from the other CGI animated film and gives it a more unique quality. However, the film is pretty tiring and becomes a bit monotonous at points bar a few funny instances. I used to read AA Milne's poetry when I was a lot younger which included his Winnie the Pooh works. I thought the film would show Pooh and his friends going on some exciting adventures with Christopher Robin. However, the story this film went with regarding the Backson became pretty dull and went on for too long. The Owl, Piglet and Winnie were the funniest characters in the film but the other characters didn't leave much of an impact. Overall, a uniquely animated film with some funny moments, that is otherwise forgettable.
