Wolfman's Got Nards Reviews
I love the Monster Squad! Getting a behind the scenes look at the making and legacy of the movie gives me a newfound appreciation for the work that went towards it!
To say this documentary is amazing would be the understatement of the century. It is so full of love and insight. Beautifully crafted to highlight the fans of this 80s masterpiece. It touches your heart in a way that makes you feel fulfilled and wanting more!!! In one word....perfect.❤
I loved this doc, Andre has made an amazingly heart felt movie, and it's clear how proud he is of what The Monster Squad has become.
This doc is incredible. It was made with a lot of love from the lead actor of The Monster Squad. Its a great story of how it became a classic and found a second life in the 2000s.
I loved it. It is a heart warming documentary about us fans of The Monster Squad.Andre Gower did an awesome job putting it together with the help of his Producer Henry McComas and I love how he got Ashley Bank and Ryan Lambert and Fred Dekker to talk about their thoughts.Even if you haven't seen The Monster Squad you will love this documentary it is not like any other documentary. It is an amazing and awesome tribute to us fans . Andre put fan art in and even Has Ryan Lambert's bands music in it and has a heartfelt tribute to the late Brent Chalem. I give it 5 plus stars.Come watch it and become part of the club.
‘Wolfman's Got Nards' Celebrates ‘Monster Squad', But Doesn't Offer Much Insight
A movie that focuses on delivering what its intended audience wants is always a breath of fresh air. If you don't like it, its because you never liked Monster Squad. Go watch something else and leave this beautiful homage alone.
Such a fantastic documentary! Just stumbled across it. The original movie was a few years before my time, but it has become an annual favorite for me and my kids every Halloween. It's one of the top 3 or so movies my kids want to watch during the season...my 12 year old daughter loves it all...my younger kids want to watch the kick him in the nards scene 100 times over :)
A great documentary about an excellent childhood film. Miss the days when kid films weren't afraid to be a bit darker and more serious at times. Great flick.
Enjoyable behind-the-scenes look at a favourite childhood film. Would've liked to have seen more practical FX stuff but not too bad! Worth a watch.
The plot and script aren't going to keep anyone on the edge of their seat, but they do tug the heart of those who have experienced addiction in their family. I can relate being from a broken home, addiction and drug abuse, violence and instability, but a tough and determined grandparent to help me get through it and over come the difficulty to lead a successful life as an adult The acting is a 10, Amy Adams and Glenn Close are fantastic, but JD, portrayed by Gabriel Brasso stole the show.
Unfortunately this movie doesn't have nards.
Don't think this will move you in the genre.
I was 12 when the Monster Squad hit theaters and I was in love with it from that moment, living in a small town and spending most of my time playing outside it was not until recently that I learned what I considered one of the best movies ever made was actually a near career endling flop. This documentary just hits me right in the feels (and I'm also upset I was unaware all of these fan events were going on because I would have loved to be right there with them). This doc just made my whole year and I loved every second of it.
This is such a wonderful documentary. I enjoyed learning behind the scenes information about The Monster Squad as well as seeing how much it has influenced a generation of artists. I loved the interviews with cast and director, as well as fans. It's incredible to see how far-teaching this movie actually was, even though it was a box-office disappointment. The director (Andre Gower) also handled the passing of Brent Chalem beautifully with a touching segment. I highly recommend this movie.
Iï¿ 1/2(TM)ve been watching The Monster Squad since 1987, when I was 6 years old. Still love it to this day. This documentary was made for us fans. I laughed, I cried and I canï¿ 1/2(TM)t wait to see it again. Weï¿ 1/2(TM)re all in the goddamn club.
