This is a gripping film because of its focus on the human stories that follow as part of the aftermath of an event as large scale as the 9-11 terrorist attack on New York’s World Trade Centre twin towers. Michael Keating and Stanley Tucci are both excellent as they essentially square off as leader of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Keeneth Feinberg and widower community organiser Charles Wolf (Stanley Tucci), but ultimately this is a sombre rather than joyous movie.
Give the kids a break. They barely started their careers Not a bad movie at all. Wish them luck in their future endeavors.
Fuuny, outrageous..a Cohen type ridiculous rendition of real life. Billy Bob always an attraction. It's so much better than what Hollywood produces now.
Unsung heroes with a noble mission tend to be obscured beneath the headlines, but their influences collectively build a worthwhile story. This film, with a reasonably explanatory title, adds onto the sensitively distraught narrative surrounding 9/11 with a finalizing question that pushes the thematic dedication with humane convictions empathetically written, during the financial complication as an unseen, unconsidered factor that was thrillingly treaded. At the end, it celebrates in memory after reactive, argumentative performances in concurrently compromising a line within respective objectivities, thus a positionally polished conclusion to the devastated impacts, despite the delivered pacing. This is a good film. Michael Keaton, Stanley Tucci, Amy Ryan, and Tate Donovan all gave really good performances. The film shows an interesting chapter in the 9/11 story. The sometimes competing interests of protecting the economy, helping victims' families, and giving those families a voice was brought to the screen with tenderness in this film. Well acted and directed.
I know what America is trying to do here, appear moralistic etc. but we know it's all about money and power.
Great movie, very well acted and produced. Even if the movie as a whole isn't historically accurate, it is still a fantastic story. I walked in blind and I recommend the same.
It's what I expected sound of freedom to be cinematography is amazing music is only used during moments of importance and it doesn't immediately turn into an action thriller like sound of freedom
What a perfect role for Michael Keaton. The script is intensely written as most Americans can relate in some form or another. Very well done film.

Powerful true story, well told. Surprisingly engaging.
Pros: Interesting insight on how the 9/11 Fund was formulated Stanley Tucci did the acting great Cons: Attacks Christian & Muslim beliefs on gay relationships Keaton's accent was weird
A strong reminder of the saddest of times, an intimate telling of some the lives and survivor's lives. Heart rendering, give yourself time to reflect after viewing.
Good acting, good storytelling and an altogether well-crafted film.

Strong performances all round. It carries a serious, demure tone throughout, with some of the characters' detachment adding to this. The emotional thread isn't too strong, which allows the angle of the story to continue without feeling sentimental… a hard task, given the subject matter! Nothing too cerebral, but it does keep you engaged
Keaton is tasked with the Victim Compensation Fund, which paid families of victims of the 9/11 attacks. Interesting story that proves Keaton still has some chops.
Incredible movie about how politics and "rules" are not always above the humans that make them. Heartbreaking, yet heartwarming as we see the growth of a man's heart through the realisms of the depth of hurt and horror that the victims and their loved ones endured on September 11, 2001 and the aftermath.
