Zombi 2 Reviews
Though not without its ridiculous, grind house elements, the thump-thump-thump of Frizzi’s main theme always brings the viewer back to the pure, unearthly terror of it all.

Zombie Flesh-Eaters is about as crude as its title.

Say what you will about its simple narrative, but the potent cinematography from Sergio Salvati and a haunting, eerie score from Giorgio Cascio allows for Fulci's Zombie to nestle in the brain.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Jul 30, 2020
A guilty pleasure exploitation zombie flick.
| Original Score: C+ | Jul 11, 2019
A few memorable scenes but this doesn't keep up the pace or plausability sufficiently.
| Original Score: 2/5 | Mar 30, 2019
You can laugh at the poor acting and insane scenarios, but you must also respect Fulci's handle on the gore effects and ever-rising tension.
| Original Score: 7/10 | Mar 30, 2019
One of the finest zombie movies ever made.

Fulci's work has its champions, but his films are mostly dim-witted and hold little interest for anyone other than hard-core gore fans.

[the remaster] looks a whole lot better than the bootlegged version lost down the back of the sofa in the video nasty era, but apart from its iconic zombie-vs.-shark sequence, it has little to offer today's audience beyond nostalgia for its own sake

Filled with lasting iconic imagery, gruesome special effects, and memorable sequences of the sub-genre...

Zombies, voodoo, and victims with bad peripheral vision

Blue Underground's release of Zombie is nothing short of a gift for fans. A time-capsule-worthy look at one of horror cinema's most infamous and fun movies.

A gore bore. "Barf bags" were handed out to people paying to see this in theaters. No-Doze would have been more appropriate.

For the zombie connoisseur, it's a treasure of invention and all-around solid filmmaking.
| Original Score: 7/10 | Apr 6, 2008
Shamelessly trashy but all the better for it.
| Original Score: B+ | Oct 13, 2007
Fulci is a particularly tactile director with a specially attuned sense for what sends the audience's gag reflex into overdrive
| Original Score: 2/4 | Nov 8, 2006
The lack of suspense amid the Technicolor carnage disappoints.

Achieves a ghastly sort of brilliance.

For a renowned entry in the satire-compatible cinema of the undead, Zombie is egregiously synthetic
