Zoolander Reviews
The funniest movie I've ever seen!
Ben Stiller as Zoolander is one of my favorite characters ever now! So funny.
Very funny. Ben and Jerry were great.
Very entertaining movie and really funny. But I felt like it could have been more funny but still a great movie.
My all time favourite movie! And comedies aren't really my thing. I genuinely believe nothing like this movie will ever exist again. And I think the sequel proved that, while good, it doesn't compare to the original. The juxtaposition of the unbelievably naive and frankly dumb Derek and his model friends, living in an otherwise down to earth world creates such a unique brand of comedy. It really is something special and you shouldn't give this movie a miss!
It’s surprisingly a lot funnier than I assumed for the longest time. In the modern day and age of internet lolrandom sh*tposting and social media influencing, this movie’s sense of humor feels bizarrely ahead of its time and made me laugh a lot more times than I anticipated. The production and costume design is very colorful and absurd, living up to the fashion model setting of the movie. The main cast is pretty solid between Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Will Ferrell. It was also nice seeing Ben Stiller bantering with his father Jerry Stiller, who easily steals the show in any scene he’s in. Not to mention all the great blink-it-or-you’ll-miss-it celebrity cameos near the beginning and end of the movie. Not every joke lands, but enough of them threw me off guard and the fast erratic pacing really boosted all the comedy that works. Certainly an underrated comedy gem from the early 2000’s.
Thank You Rotten Tomatoes
A great movie to watch when you're feeling down in the dumps. It's one of those "funny because it's silly" kind of movies that never get old.
Great comedy. Recommended.
One of the most funny movies of all time. Maybe my favourite comedy of all time, every single joke lands so hard. Has some of my favourite visual gigs ever, its just unreal from start to finish. One of Ben Stiller's funniest performances ever.
Pure comedy
"Zoolander" is a hilariously sarcastic, silly and relevant commentary on our superficial society. Zoolander (played by Ben Stiller who also both directed and co-wrote the film) is an iconic of a generation, and the rest of the star-studded cast have extremely memorable characters. This spoof influenced the newer generations to not take themselves too seriously and have a bit of fun.
Wildly goofy with some good, funny moments, 'Zoolander' is a great way to poke a little fun at the fashion industry.
A Comedy Classic. It's really well made all around. The fashion industry setting makes the costumes really memorable, colorful and pop. The 80's pop soundtrack is actually really good. The plot is VERY dumb and over the top but at the same time it actually has lots of underlying commentary about the fashion industry as well. It's a satire on the industry as well as just dumb fun which is quite a feat. Wilson & Stiller got great chemistry together along with Taylor. Ferrell is great and probably the best makeup he's ever had. The jokes range from good chuckles, funny moments, to hilarious. There are some moments that are so dumb you just have to laugh at it. It can get a little jumpy in the middle going between the outlandish plot and jumping around with Stiller and the villian. As fnny as this is, especially in the first half there's lots of character development moments in this too it sneaks in. That being said, it's relentlessly dumb plot and humor is it's best asset and sometimes a liability. It's totally self aware though and well directed though. Anyone who is a fan of any actors in this, Stiller comedies, or comedies in general should check this out.
This movie was ahead of it's time, it's just such an experience to watch, it's not exactly the greatest film ever made but if it was made today this would be one of the best comedies ever made.
One of the dumbest and funniest movies I've ever watched
Hilarious. That's pretty much all I can say
By far one of my favorite parody movies of all time!I love ben stiller as a director and of course in the role of zoolander he is hilariously perfect
