The Wheel of Time: Season 3 Reviews
Overall I really enjoyed this show. There are so many queer characters, and they all have such rich storylines and complex character development, even outside of their relationships.

O’Keeffe is so captivating as the Forsaken Lanfear, so deft at balancing the character’s outright villainy with an emotional depth, it makes Lanfear as likeable – even as able to root for – as she is dangerous and unpredictable.

If there’s one takeaway from this season, it’s that it’s indisputably the show’s biggest and boldest offering yet. Season 3 is quite cinematic and expansive in more ways than one.

“To Race the Shadow” doesn’t solve every problem the show has. It still over-explains and under-focuses. It still has trouble choosing which stories deserve the spotlight. But it finally feels like the wheel is spinning fast enough to matter.

More sophisticated than The Witcher, more thrilling than The Rings Of Power, and more distinctive than House Of The Dragon, it's hard to imagine a better version of Robert Jordan's epic book saga — a series once deemed unfilmable.

Alliances and relationships are tested as characters set off on a far-ranging quest that isn’t always faithful to Robert Jordan’s books but is still a lot of fun.

This series will still not hit the same mainstream popularity as Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones, but this is the first season that shows it has the potential to join their ranks.

With season three, it finally feels like “The Wheel of Time” can become the show it was always meant to be.

Another epic, if mixed, chapter of this fantasy adaptation.

This time around, the expansions of this world come off like a ticked-off checklist, an assuage-the-readers inventory of settings, cultures, and villains, with our hero’s journey feeling certainly designed but not entirely earned.

While The Wheel of Time Season 3 still has many of the same problems that have plagued the series since its debut, it also remembers something its second outing frequently forgot: How to have a good time.
