Collateral Damage Reviews
Starts strong and you think you will be on an action packed ride. But the story starts to meander. By the time the plot twist happens you have lost interest because the character development is lousy . Only reason to watch it is arnie but it a very weak performance from him . No arnie magic
Aunque la película tiene una temática que puede resultar sensible, los escenarios y la trama hacen de esta una película de acción a la que vale la pena darle la oportunidad
This was a great movie. The protagonist's (Arnold Schwarzenegger) anguish and frustration is real and raw. When no one else can or will help, he does what is needed to be done while the law sits on its hands.
Great action flick of the time and holds up for what it's worth. Not a bunch of cheesey one liners or shakey or cut camera angles. Solid cast and an amazing soundtrack.
Another good Arnold movie. Worth your time, suspenseful with a couple good twists. Arnold is always great.
This is exactly the type of movie that you might catch while surfing on cable television and probably leave while you grab lunch and wash the dishes, it is a well done Arnold movie that gives just what you want sometimes, numb action fun. Not a great fan of the twist and last 20 min of the movie
Nothing new here, but it will entertain.
A very good action thriller with Arnold Schwarzenegger. This held my interest for the full duration. A lot of the action sequences are fun to watch, it builds tension well and doesn't stick directly to clichés... some of the places it goes with the story are pretty deep. The cast are also very nicely chosen. I'm not saying it's an all-star line-up, but all those involved with the main stuff do a worthy job. Schwarzenegger makes for a great lead as Brewer, he is the ideal actor for this role. Cliff Curtis works as the film's antagonist, this is the best performance that I've seen from him. Francesca Neri (Selena) and John Leguizamo (Felix) also do solid things. It's far from the perfect film of course, but 'Collateral Damage' had me locked in from start-to-finish which is all you want from these sort of productions.
Worse than having your film affected by an event of the time is seeing how damaging it can be to the image of the country it was made of. Quite unrealistic, overdone and underdeveloped, it could even have raised a huge amount of money if it had been made in the 80s, but the message without apathy leaves the movie as a bad joke that has relegated many films of that time to oblivion.
The worst theme and the worst plot among entire Schwarzenegger's armoury !
If you go into this movie with little expectation you may well have a fun time with it. However, despite the action, the explosions and Arnie being...well, Arnie there's just nothing really memorable or remarkable about it. The story isn't bad but whether it's the pacing, the direction or whatever it does feel somewhat flat. It's by no means terrible though and thus my 3 stars seems about fair
This should have been edited down into Commando 2.. It could have been a fun over the top action movie..instead its forgettable and boring.
A pretty brainless and vapid Ahnold flick that does nothing to promote good will to drug dealers lol. Not really much fun as it should be.
Not a great film and a little uncomfortable to watch. If someone told me this film was made in 1990 i would have believed them(not sure if that is an insult) The film starts off with a terrorist attack that kills Arnie's wife and small child, as i said uncomfortable watch. The main problem with this film is that it is about terrorism, it sucks out any fun the film could have had. It has a serious tone that does not suit the story they wanted to tell. Its not bad but its not an action film and its less than thrilling. Other than a (terrible) CGI waterfall scene and the ending, there is not much action. The film tries to be relevant and becomes irrelevant. If the film was just Arnie taking out bad guys and wise cracking his way through it...i think it would have been better. Teaming up with Davis who made 2 of Seagal's only watchable movies and the great The fugitive i expected more. It passes the time and Arnie fans will sit through it but not one to remember from the big guy. Not sure what his pay packet was for this movie but i bet it would have made its budget back with out his hefty wage bill.
I'm a fan of Schwarzenegger action films, so of course I like this movie. The cheesier the one liners the better imo
