Aladdin Reviews
**Aladdin – 4 Stars** Man, *Aladdin* still hits like magic. This voice cast? *Chef’s kiss.* Robin Williams as the Genie is a full-blown, fireworks-in-the-sky performance—unmatched energy, warmth, and heart. I couldn’t stop thinking how much I miss him in media; he *was* the magic. Gilbert Gottfried nails the chaotic sidekick energy as Iago, and Frank Welker doing Abu and the Cave of Wonders? Legendary vocal work. Jafar? What a slimeball—and I say that with respect. He’s one of those villains you *love* to hate, oozing menace with every line. The animation? Still jaw-dropping. The colors, the movement, the sweeping shots of Agrabah—it’s all cinematic gold. Jasmine isn’t just a princess; she’s a powerhouse. Aladdin and Jasmine’s chemistry sizzles with charm, and the bond between Genie and Aladdin is the kind of friendship that tugs the heart. And oh, the *songs*! Alan Menken delivered earworms that perfectly fit the story and setting. “Friend Like Me,” “Prince Ali,” “A Whole New World”... just pure musical joy. Drama, laughs, romance, adventure—it’s the full package. This isn’t just nostalgia—it’s a classic that still dazzles. I’m all in for the sequel. Let’s see where the magic carpet flies next.
They didn't miss the target. Classic that will be enjoyed for decades. Acting phenomenonal.
A decent adaptation of the Thief of Baghdad. Great songs throughout with hand-drawn animation that was the top of it's time.
Top notch. Robin Williams at his best.
A beautiful middle eastern tale I loved it my favorite Disney movie and Disney princess Jasmine is a stunning middle eastern princess i just wish the live action would have stuck to the original it's a middle eastern tale not Asian all the cast even her father is Persian so why pick a Asian girl to play jasmine she's based on a Persian folk tale and her name is Arabic 🤦🏽♀️ why not pick an middle eastern actress devastating 💔
Further tales of the Disney legacy of my childhood unfold with Aladdin transporting us into a whole new world, brimming with a fun and captivating story, lovable characters, energetic and soulful musical numbers, and, of course, a forever memorable Genie voice-over performance by the late great Robin Williams. Grading: A+
You ain't never had a amazing film like Aladdin
Funny and heartfelt! This is definitely one of my favourites of the Disney princess movies. Aladdin and the Genie are both such fun characters!
Aladdin is certainly a diamond in the rough film as the storyline sends you through the cave of wonders with a beautiful vision and a lot of charismatic energy.
A very fun movie that contains fun characters. If Robin Williams was never cast, this film wouldn't be as great. Great animation, voice acting, characters, and story.
This is one of the best Disney renaissance movies and is really good. If you haven't watched, what are you doing? Jafar is great. Great story, like most Disney films are.
Voice acting is totally outstanding. Legendary soundtrack. Catchy storyline.
Great animation, an excellent story, and catchy music make Aladdin a great film in all of the right ways. But the movie is completely elevated by the sheer talent and entertainment of the late Robin Williams' performance as the Genie, one of the greatest voice performances in all of cinema.
I really love and appreciate this movie Aladdin and Jasmine are an adorable couple and I absolutely love Robin Williams as Genie another wonderful classic movie 😊😊😊
It is a great movie with very charismatic characters Robin Williams acts very well apart from the development of Aladdin it is exceptional great animation and it has that magic of yesteryear of Disney, a Classic without a doubt
Este filme e lindo de mais.
Iago is so negative and annoying. Although, Robin Willam’s genie role, impressions, and his fourth wall breaking is hilarious and impressive. Glad he gets his freedom too.
This is one of the best disney movies I've ever seen in my whole life 💕💘🥰😁👍🤣😂😎🩵❤️💚
Based on the story from the Arabic folktale from One Thousand and One Nights. This movie is iconic for one single reason - Robin Williams' performance as the Genie. Of course Alan Menkin hits it out of the park with the songs that are one of the best song collections in Disney animated canon. This is the last movie Howard Ashman wrote the lyrics for the songs. Tim Rice took over after Ashman’s death. The songs and Williams’ performance are what drive this movie. While the other stuff isn’t bad, it just is in a lower league. The stuff that is great caused this movie to become the highest grossing animated movie of all time until The Lion King came around two years later. It also spawned two straight to DVD sequels and two cartoon series. I really do think this is a must watch just for the Genie, the rest is just extra goodness.
