I'm not gonna pretend this is as good as the previous four films, because it isn't, but it's alright. Serviceable. It feels like a comic book movie, as it basically is, but a pre-MCU comic book movie like Daredevil or Batman & Robin. Let's begin. The story is simple: there's aliens in a weird temple in Antarctica, and the Predators visit. It connects the two franchises well enough and provides a fun premise for this movie, which explores it decently. Sure, it's boring at times and it feels weird watching Mr. Weyland's scenes after watching Prometheus, but it's good. It's basically just a big What If story. But my main issue with the film is the explanation for how the Xenomorphs were made: that the Predators bred them as the "perfect prey". It just makes the Xenomorphs feel weak and, for all its flaws, I prefer the explanation in Alien: Covenant. It's an interesting concept for the crossover nature of the film, and the imagery of the Predators as gods is great, but it's not a great concept. But aside from that, it's a good film. Overall, it had a lot of missed potential due to it being PG-13, but it was decent.

Absolutely terrible writing. The boss babe who was an expert in everything, fighting with predator was just an utter joke. One scene where she’s so amazing saying she know where to go by a bearing lol no that not how that works and said the chamber should be above us. We know the glow stick you dropped the scene before is on the ground in front of you. Couldn’t finish this mess of a film.

I found this film hard to enjoy as much as other related films as the main characters are not very likeable and while the visual effects are good, there is just not enough to warrant a second watch

I’ve always been surprised by how low of a score this film received from both critics and audience. If a movie falls into a 20% percentile range, for me that usually implies I can’t even make it all the way through the film and would likely never recommend it to anyone. I’ve watched this film multiple times, I easily recommend it to others, I own it, I think it’s a lot of fun. 65-72% easy, and for multiple reasons. I like the pacing. I like the backstory. I like the plot. Perhaps its strongest elements are its sets, cinematography, and mystery. There’s certainly some weak acting and clunky script moments but nothing that doesn’t stop the film from carrying itself in a blockbuster format. Out of the entire selection of both film series, I watch it the most, with the original Alien and Predator films as the true classics. Now, AVP Requiem on the other hand, THAT is a true 20% film.

I actually enjoy this movie mostly. I do get what critics say about it being cookie-cutter characters in just a mashup of two franchises, but I still like what it offered. I like when the expedition leader teams up with the Predator to fight the Aliens and their queen. Let me put it another way. A fun premise that’s pretty dull in the first half, but lives up to its crossover potential in the second half with some pretty epic crossover alien & predator action. The lead character is also refreshingly competent for a horror protagonist (especially one in the early 2000s lol). I also like the nuance of the surviving human and predator teaming up to fight the Alien Queen. Pretty cool setup ngl. It’s not amazing, but it’s a pretty fun guilty pleasure if you can overlook its shortcomings and accept it for what it is.

...despite the critics views....this was a great adventure...! super creatures..great build up and atmostphere...also it was ''clearer'' than other such movies...which i found sometimes too dark to really see the creatures properly...anyone who loves the Alien / Predator francise will love this...i am sure...watched it now a few times and still find it scary ..recomended..!

I don't care what anyone says, I love this movie. It's silly and ridiculous, but it doesn't take itself too seriously. They knew what they were bringing to the table and they brought it. I felt more "good for her" about this movie than a lot of the others more recently made.

This was a cool movie, seeing two different franchises come together. The fighting between the Aliens and Predators was cool to see. I wish they didn’t focus as much on the humans, because I feel like that took away from actual main characters (the aliens and the predators). Overall a good way to expand both franchises.

The human team up and honour from the predator chieftain is absolutely epic. All who give this bad reviews obviously have no idea what good movies are.

Witching 20 years later, even though a dissapoinent last time, it has aged well, and is better than Alien Romulus, and many so xalled SF horror movies eg Venom 2, 3 etc. Good plot and tense enough. If seen as a graphic novel version of the story, it's good fun with some original ideas.

Excellent world building, fun for the whole family. I watch this movie every time I have a birthday. I love predators.
