the only Guillermo del Toro movie I have NOT liked

Not suspenseful enough.

Growing up on the horror genre I would say this story rates up there as a movie to go 👀....however it does seem to a have a dull feel between the overall character play.  It did serve well for some jump scares!

Loved the suspense but would have liked more detail on the backstory of the antlers. Felt rushed.

Decent horror/suspense film. Would only recommend to horror lovers. Was a bit predictable and dragged slightly at certain points. That being said the premise was fairly interesting, had some good jump scares and a overall creepy vibe.

I'm a horror movie junkie, and this was dark, intense, and had decent special effects. They also did a good job of making it look like it was really shot in Oregon.

Pretty solid horror flick, produced by Guillermo del Toro. The film has a heavy sense of dread, top actors and a great "bad guy". The child actors were wonderful. Jesse Plemmens is amazing, as always. Keri Russell is great as the protagonist. Quality SFX and good story. My only complaint is that I wish the used Graham Greene more, in the story. Another great Scott Cooper film. 4 stars.

Honest interpretation of the mystical creature. Really scary movie.

Took to long to get to the point. Very boring in the beginning, the ending kind of got exciting would I see it again no. If I did it would be on SYFY 🤷‍♀️..

It was a great watch. Acting performances were great from Keri Russell and the child actors especially. There were no unneeded jump scares and the score was great throughout. Glad to see this was worth the wait.

Loved the Wendigo story. It was really amazing.

This movie was really good, for once I didn’t mind the jump scares. The atmosphere was really well built and made the whole movie so disturbing. A few small things bothered me but other than that I’d say this movie is a must see for horror fans.

Wendigo mayhem ensued in this one. Im a fan of the story and I was not disappointed by this film. Overall I liked the lead actors, visuals and mix of practical effects and cgi when it got down to creature time. I felt like the plot lagged a bit at times but overall worth watching with some truly gruesome scenes entwined.

It was all over the place at the beginning but still moved at a glacial pace. It picked up some at the end but the ending left me wanting. Having read the short story I felt like they had some good material to work with but it just didn't pan out.
