The visuals and the atmosphere of weirdness are entertaining to a certain degree but there is no plot you can follow and the characters are underdeveloped to a point of not generating any connection with the audience.

The movie tries to be funny but its just stupid. Not even the great actors made it bearable. Points for dressing Oscas Isaac in a black suit tho.

It looked like a book, mixed with a touch of theater acting, all squeezed in a movie. It was nice. Unexpected. And self-conclusive.

An utter waste of talent and worse, a waste of your time. From the overly-long static shots to the plot that goes nowhere to characters you simply don't empathize with or even hate, why this movie exists is beyond me. Emory Coehn does a job of portraying a pathetic loser, but there's nothing about the character that creates any real reaction. The movie is trying too hard to be bizarre and kooky with no pay off at all.

Every color of every set, every ebb and flow of the soundtrack, every detail of a simple frozen yogurt logo. This isn't pure entertainment. "Big Gold Brick" is the perfect combination of art and entertainment, not taking itself too seriously while also maintaining elusivity only detectable to those who like their films to feel more like art. In other reviews he's often compared to veteran directors, but he's not a conglomerate of writers and directors piled into a film. He's Petsos. And someday that name will be used as a comparison when rookie filmmakers enter the scene. He's just original. The film is original. And like it or love it … there's not one person who can deny that it's incomparable to anything they've ever seen before.

Best film of 2022 so far!

Big Gold Brick is brilliant! Every element of this film is tuned to perfection from its visuals to story to sound; it deserves a round of applause for its uniqueness and guts.

Punk rock as hell! Hollywood loves to pump out the same old formulaic fare and this movie is not that. A dude on the edge gets hit by a car, suffers a brain injury and what follows is...magic? Hell? Heaven? It's a great movie that I can't stop thinking about.

Refreshing as hell to see a film like this get made. I'll be thinking about this movie for quite awhile. Beautiful photography juxtaposed with impeccable music choices add to the surreal quality of this story and the acting is what you should expect from such top notch talent. I LOVE Big Gold Brick. I'm going to have to watch it a few more times because it's pretty out there, and I don't want to miss a thing.

Original in a time full of sequels, re-boots, re-makes, and copycats. Beautiful photography and sound coupled with a surreal story and absurdly talented cast equals a must see movie. I've never heard of the writer/director but already can't wait to see what he does next!

Petsos at his finest! The cast is Stellar and the soundtrack sublime. Laughing so hard at moments I should NOT be laughing at. If you enjoyed Ticky Tacky and LightningFace then this full length film is for you.
