So I paid 25 bucks on Prime to watch what I thought was a spy movie. Instead what I got was a bunch of people having dinner or going to meetings to figure out who of their small group was a traitor. The trailers mad you suspect Cate Blanchett was the traitor. Not for a second did I believe that. There was no action save for the end where the young up and coming spy turned out tot be the traitor gets shot. What boring POS!!

Le scénario, bancal et inutilement alambiqué, déroule une intrigue cousue de fil blanc, où chaque retournement est télégraphié bien à l’avance. Les personnages ? Des archétypes épais comme un roman de gare : l’agent usé par le système, la recrue trop brillante pour être vraie, le traître évident dès la première réplique. Si quelques scènes parviennent à capter l’attention, l’ensemble manque cruellement de substance et de tension. En résumé : beaucoup de style, très peu d’âme.

Just could not get into this, no matter how hard I tried. So after 2 attempts, I made sure 3 times a lucky charm, but charm it was not and lucky I would’ve been if id just let it at the 2 attempts and left it there. So I watched it from beginning to end and was utterly disappointed, I like Fassbender and Blanchett (under utilised) and Soderbergh and thought when is the reveal comin or the twist or the something to keep me from going wtf is this snooze fest i am watching to oh that’s great, I’m glad I sat thru this tripe……….but it never came. Quite boring and wasted opportunity with a ok cast that just never hits the highs as described or presented !!!!!! A below average spy thriller, don’t waste ur time, the characters and story is boring with the reveal or should I say the omg is that the moment I was waiting for is such a let down it brings the whole movie down a star or 2. Undoubtably the worst movie I’ve ever seen. Could not understand a word of it because of the heavy British accents and the low lighting where you can’t really even see their lips. I was confused from the time I walked into the time I left. They Needed close caption at the bottom Of the screento understand what they were saying maybe then I would’ve got the drift to the movie. Although I doubt it, it was so convoluted It was two hours of wasted money And boredom.

As the "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" for the computer generation this intellectual spy flick depends on acting, plot, and character development. How refreshing! Stay home if you want explosions and special effects.

I am so disappointed in this movie. Since it’s got such great reviews, I went ahead and bought it instead of renting it. I continue to be disappointed in Michael Fassbender. I do not know why he gets all of the accolades that he does. I find him boring. Typical spy movie: nothing to get excited about!!
