The Cave Reviews
While It is descent inspired it isn't too gory due to its 12 age rating it's still interesting and has good creature designs however the film isn't really scary. The cave has a good premise and does set itself apart from other cave horror films and I would recommend it.
Absolutely loved this movie, I don't give a single f*ck what these 'professionals' say and criticize sh*t, Absolutely my favorite movie. By the way The descent movie SUCKS.
Pretty good movie. I liked the cast, story was ok, wasn't bored at any one point. One of those movies i would watch again in a couple years.
Yeah it keeps up with current times. Got a good suspense to it, keeps you questioning.. got a few scares.. defo worth a watch.. as good as aliens
it was a pretty good movie i definitely recommend watching this one
This movie definitely doesn’t deserve the 1 star reviews. It definitely has it moments of excitement, and the set/filming is extremely impressive. Haters gonna hate, tators gonna tate.
This was a really good movie. I don't know why it got such low scores. I recommend it to anyone who likes creature features.
An action, horror, creature feature beneath ocean caves. Either the cave is collapsing, or creatures attack, or the heroes are dropping like flies. Entertaining.
I don't care about the rotten score and bad reviews. This movie is loads of fun, and compared to the horror shlock of 2021 and 22, is way way ahead in the entertainment stakes. Classic.
I am surprised that this movie gets such a low rating. I thought that it was pretty cool for the most part and kept my attention. I liked how the entrance was once protected by an ancient Eastern Church in Romania. It looked really believable and set up a for a good story. I liked how the parallel between biologically and myth was connected. I wasn't totally satisfied with the end for some reason, but it was worth a watch on a boring night...ha.
This movie was just terrible. The only plot it has is that there trying to get out of the cave. The monsters in this movie look really really really fake and cheap and terrible. The whole thing where the guy gets infected by the thing doesn't make much sense either. The ending also obviously tells us they wanted to make a sequel but this movie did not deserve a sequel. Really none of these characters are given a personality. The only character I was ruining for was Piper Perabo's character Charlie and she died in a really stupid way. Overall this has got to be one of the worst monster exploration sort of movies or whatever you want to call it.
Highly under rated creature feature
I didn't like how shaky and fast the editing was. I thought that it hid too much and made it hard to tell what was going on. The shakiness was distracting. Other than that I guess that it was fine. There was nothing too exciting to look at. The sound fields were creative and really well produced. I loved the use of the rear channels. Absolutely fantastic sound! This was just like Alien (1979) in a cave but without the suspense and awesomeness. I had no care for the characters or what was unfolding. It was made for teenagers and thusly the horror is non-existent in what should be a horror movie. It was more like an action movie but without all the cool guns and car chases and helicopters and stuff. Rather dull story and unoriginal shenanigans make this a very forgettable piece.
una pelicula muy infravalorada como siempre por ser del genero de terror y suspenso, es una muy buena pelicula, con una atmosfera de mucho suspenso, es una pelicula que la puedo ver y he visto varias veces.
Visually unappealing and with a plot that is not compelling, there is very little to keep one interested. Even horror fans will have a hard time staying tuned in with the gore and jump scares very subdued.
