Deadpool 2 Reviews
Just like the other Deadpool movies, this was insane. Extremely fun, humorous, and action packed, anybody looking for a dark superhero film will love this.
Another great Deadpool movie.
Mikey's Movie Review: Deadpool 2 (***Spoiler Free***) Ryan Reynolds was born to play Deadpool. His natural comedic ability, and extremely likable personality, sells this (18) rated character better than any other actor currently without a franchise... With more Easter Eggs and (self) references than the first film (although there is less 4th wall breaking this time around), DP2 is pretty much guaranteed to be a movie you'll want to revisit again and again when it hits BluRay disc later in the year. Its bleak, but darkly funny beginning sets up a movie surprisingly full of heart. And a fine balance between the rapid fire one liners, the splatter filled mayhem and a rather sweet father/son relationship, create possibly one of the best Superhero movies yet. Certainly one of the best 'X Universe' films, and absolutely on par with the brilliant (less funny) 'Logan'... But for now, you should definitely check it out on the big screen. With more action in the second half than in the entirety of The Avengers: Infinity War, it's a thrill ride and a belly aching laugh a minute. Don't forget to stay for the end credits. It's almost worth the entry fee alone... Mikey's Movie Rating: 5/5* 😎👍
Just as good, if not better than the first one. The story was compelling, and I loved the introduction of the wide variety of characters. I definitely recommend it for superhero fans!
It would be crazy if they had comic accurate wolverine in the third one
With about all my positives the same as the first movie (Great action & choreography, funny moments, good supporting cast, emotional moments that really work, and a fabulous soundtrack), there are just a few slight issues. The movie is a little bloated as the addition of Cable is a good idea and I think Josh Brolin is really solid in the role, he feels more like just a plot device to move the plot forward. Also, the kid in the movie (cant remember his name) can be incredibly annoying but as the movie goes on he does start to feel more like a real character. However, the positives far outweigh the negatives. 8/10
Great sequel to a great movie.
Deadpool 2 is as action packed & entertaining as the original thanks to great story and writing but the true highlight of the film goes to the song "Ashes" by Céline Dion, this movie knows how to bring back beloved characters to a new level and when they do it right they did it right.
Eu só sou fã, mais essa música da abertura me conquistou de mais! S2
Deadpool 2 is definitely a Deadpool movie. As you might expect, the humor is pretty hit-or-miss, but when you take as many swings as Deadpool movies do, you're going to have a lot of strikes mixed in with a lot of homeruns. Going in expecting that made the strikes pretty tolerable and the homeruns enjoyable. The sequel is, to me, an imrpovement on the first movie. Most notably, the story is a big improvement. I didn't care much for the story of the original, which just felt like a vehicle for Deadpool's trademark violence and humor, whereas this movie had a genuinely good story. Josh Brolin's performance as Cable was an especially good addition to the movie that added a nice contrast to Deadpool.
Deadpool 2 attempts to ride on the coattails of its predecessor but ultimately crashes under the weight of its own self-importance. It’s clear this sequel isn’t about expanding the world or the characters—it’s a Ryan Reynolds vanity project, plain and simple. The humor, which was sharp and refreshing in the first film, feels forced and repetitive here, as though Reynolds mistakenly believes that being sarcastic and obnoxious is enough to carry an entire movie. Spoiler: it’s not. One of the most glaring issues is the absence of the original creative team that made the first Deadpool a surprise hit. It’s well-documented how Reynolds wrestled control of the franchise from its original visionaries, and the difference is painfully obvious. Without their creative input, the sequel lacks focus, depth, and innovation. The charm and cleverness that once defined Deadpool have been replaced with cheap gags and uninspired writing. The result is a hollow, disjointed movie that feels like a pale imitation of its predecessor. Breaking the fourth wall was a fun novelty in the first film, but here it’s overused to the point of exhaustion. By the time Deadpool breaks the wall for the 300th time, the joke has long since worn thin. It’s not edgy or clever anymore; it’s just lazy writing disguised as self-awareness. Ultimately, Deadpool 2 serves as a glaring reminder of where the real talent behind the first film came from—and it wasn’t Ryan Reynolds. Stripped of that collaborative brilliance, what’s left is a shallow, self-serving sequel that’s more interested in glorifying its star than delivering a worthwhile story or genuine comedy. The charm of Deadpool has officially run dry, leaving us with nothing but a series of recycled jokes and an inflated ego pretending to be a movie.
Deadpool returns in a twist of fate as the love of his life tragically dies in an unexpected fashion. Trying to cope, he embarks on a weird, wacky adventure to save a life that he previously had no care about. This movie is, in some ways, better than the first, but falls short in other ways. The weakest part of this movie, in my opinion, is Deadpool himself. Not to say that Deadpool is a bad part of the film, but at times, he seems to be too depressed to have fun or too manic to even get the story going again. The balance that the first movie had seemed to fall short here, but it doesn’t compare to the level of fun and laughs you still have regardless of this small shortcoming.
The first one is way better. This is a good and fun movie. But there's too much going on.
This movie is so much fun and the action just gets better!
Quite similar to the 1st film but with a bit more story
More drawn out than the first film but still excellent
Deadpool 2 review I love action fight scenes and it’s funny but I don’t care about Xmen storyline 3 star 6 out 10 60 out 100
This movie is hilarious, action packed, and emotional as well. All the characters are good and Deadpool is phenomenal in this movie. Cable is awesome as well!
BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE. AMAZING MIVIE
“Prepare for the second coming.” It’s funnier than the first. Reynolds is a gem. Can’t wait to see the next one. 5/5 stars.
