.....left me disenchanted......

Amy Adams is flawless

I found nothing to like about this film. It completely ruined the feeling of the original movie, "Enchanted," which is far superior. It's a shame Alan Menken didn't compose the music for the sequel. The plot is terrible and feels like a low-budget fan film. I dislike how Disney ruins original movies with awful sequels. Additionally, the songs sound like they're from a cheap Broadway production. I will never watch this movie again.

I feel like the whole movie was happening at me, the one song Idina Menzel did was good, but that's about it. I liked the evil assistants but they are the only other thing we gained from this movie. We could have lived without the whole sequel.

This is and absolutely great movie! Must see!

It has some pluses, though 'Disenchanted' is largely uninteresting. The special effects are good, when Amy Adams and Maya Rudolph are onscreen together the movie is more watchable, some of the attempted heart from the story does eventually show up well and the animation bits are nice. Despite those positives, I still wouldn't say I enjoyed this. It was a bit of a slog to sit through in truth. I narrowly liked the first film, but this sequel just didn't really click into gear in my opinion.

The music is pretty good but the story sucks

Wow, Disney just cannot seem to make anything good anymore. The first movie was a gem and this one a total flop.

The first Enchanted was definitely better, but I still enjoyed this one.

had some funny moments but the rest of the movie was stupid and horrible for a sequel to a good movie

cheap looking with songs made up on the spot which are so annoying

I wasn't too sure the first few minutes of the movie as I'm definitely not one for sequels. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Disenchanted. Just as captivating, magical, and entertaining as the first. Wonderful movie.

I love musicals, and I really enjoyed the first Enchanted. Original story, great cast. Well unfortunately this sequel was absolutely terrible. The story was completely inane. Predictable in every way. The songs all sounded the same. Unmelodious. Tedious. Uninspired. Patrick Dempsey looked lost. Maya Rudolph played a tired cliched villainess. Amy Adams was the only bright spot in the entire film, but it was not enough to save it by a long shot. Lost two hours of my life. Alan Menken seriously needs to retire - he lost his musical mojo years ago.

If you loved the original you'll love this too

I get that it doesn't live up to the original, but I absolutely loved the fairytale charm and homage to musicals.

Really fun and well-done singing. It felt a lot like Ella Enchanted (different franchise) and was absolutely wonderful

This movie wasn't as good as the first, but I don't think it's nearly as bad as anyone say it is either. I thought the costumes were great, visually it was so colorful and vibrant, the songs were amazing, and it was great seeing all the original cast back together again! I do wish Robert was in it a bit more, as the love between him and Giselle was obviously the best part of the first film, but overall I still really enjoyed this movie. I am confused, though, on why the description says it's 15 years later when, canonically, the film takes places TEN years later lol

100 years of Disney storytelling and we have the long-awaited sequel to the 2007 box-office hit to kick things off It's been 15 years since director Kevin Lima's 'Enchanted' hit movie theaters and gained much praise from fans and critics as well as pull in lots of money It also introduced Amy Adams as the honorary modern Disney princess Giselle of Andalasia going from an animated kingdom to our modern real-world She found happiness with a man named Robert and his daughter, Morgan in NYC while also defeating Prince Edward's evil mother, Narissa who didn't want anyone to take the throne Edward also found his true love in Nancy who decided to leave NYC and live in Giselle's fairy tale realm Much of the old cast returns from Patrick Dempsey, Idina Menzel, and James Marsden Even Rachel Covey all grown up comes back Now Giselle and Robert having gotten used to the big city set off on a new adventure with a newborn baby Sophia They pack up their stuff and move to a new suburban area named Monroeville Morgan is entering high school and isn't a fan of leaving her friends behind and starting over The town is also home to newcomer Malvina Monroe played by Maya Rudolph who runs it like a stepford wives food chain; she believes everyone has an assigned role whilst living here Giselle is missing the part of her old life and comes across a magical wand when Edward and Nancy visit that grants her wish to be more like before Things start to change from her clothing to her attitude to her behavior towards everyone else Now the real world only has until midnight before all magic and reality are thrown out of proportion The film attempts to bring back the magic the original had which is a challenge cause it was an unexpected surprise There's new original songs, vibrant colors, an otherworldly feel with the settings from the houses to the interiors and the townsfolk take the shape of archetypes they embody in real-life The hardest part of life is finding your happily ever after, change can be scary but it can be very interesting, we all want our lives to be a fairy tale, memories are the best kind of magic Directed by Adam Shankman this falls below the first movie in certain ways; some things get resolved too easily or some plot threads are dropped very quick This script is overly familiar as it's been done before many times Patrick Dempsey is tossed aside a lot more Still Amy Adams, Maya Rudolph, and Rachel Covey get a lot to do Rudolph is eating up every bit of scenery she's in and the movie does still include small throwbacks to past fairy tales like before As it is 'Disenchanted' doesn't forget its roots although its predecessor did a better job of subverting the Disney tropes with such wit and passion
