Do Revenge Reviews
There are a million movies similar to The Justice League. But that's the thing: all of these million movies only "look" like The Justice League, but they don't "be" The Justice League. It's an innovative movie, with beautiful performances that are great to watch, as well as perfect costumes and elegant visuals that are enough to overshadow any plot holes or mistakes that it ends up making at times. A good, very good movie, perfect to watch with a group of friends.
No, it was cool. It was cool. The build up to the twist. I feel like could’ve been a whole lot better but I kind of see it coming, but I still was in town so you know the end and the double twist was kind of predictable but still enjoy still pretty good movie.
It's personally offensive to me that this movie is rated so highly because I found about 2 minutes of it likable and the rest--meaning TWO more hours--was absolute garbage. There's no reason a teen comedy should drag on for over 2 hours even if it's good. And those 2 minutes were all Sophie Turner. The movie is filled with unlikable one-dimensional characters who have really learned nothing by the end of the movie. Seriously, I did not like or care about a single one of the characters. It borrows heavily from classic 90s and 2000s teen movies such as Mean Girls, John Tucker Must Die, Cruel Intentions, and Clueless, but only marginally adds its own spin. And I would rather watch ANY of those movies over Do Revenge.
Best movie ever , love this !!!!
Plot has a lot of promise but I felt alienated by the indulgent, fantasy-like portrayal of the high school senior experience. Barbie-esque scenes throughout. Very divorced from reality. Fear it could negatively impact impressionable high school students who are already having to navigate their challenging coming-of-age landscape. Impressed by Camila Mendes' performance. Maya Hawke's acting was a turn-off though. The two British actors appeared misplaced in the film (felt Sophie Turner overplayed every "angry-english" scene she was in).
A fast-paced teen comedy with a great big twist.
So much better than the typical high school teen movies, freaking loved it. And there costumes were lit💖
Loved it, the premise of the movie is not the greatest, but the execution and acting more than made up for it. Both leads bounce off each other creating great humour together with beautiful locaitons make it for a great viewing experience.
I have no earthly idea why this is rated so high; it is one of the worst and nonsensical movies I have seen in years. A complete waste of time.
Almost stopped watching halfway through because it became repetitive, but the plot twist!!! Watch the movie until the end and you will be amazed!
It's fresh and it combines different concepts in one movie its cool but the end is such a bummer
One of my all time favourite movies, it’s so underrated, it has all the good parts for a high school movie, comedy, romance, drama and I mean a LOT of drama, a very steady solid plot and a super satisfying ending. More people should watch this
Heathers, Mean Girls, Do Revenge!
Strangers on a Train, except they're mean girls. In the grand tradition of '90s teen reimaginings of Shakespeare, George Bernard Shaw, and Pierre Choderlos de Laclos.
Yesss! This movie was such a slayyyy. Exactly what I wanted to see at midnight. 10/10. Wish the ending was a little less rushed but I loved the twists
A little too simple and fast
I love this movie. Very interesting and well made. A tip for viewers, pay attention to every little detail because you'll get all of it at the end. Great movie!
Es buena es genial y me encanta el plot wish no se escribe no me esperaba y me gusta la comedia es buena es un 8 de 10
Why do your revenging alone when you can do it together? Women if not only teenagers can be psychopaths if too much is taken away from them or pushed too hard Director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and Netflix helm this black comedy with 'Riverdale' star Camilla Mendes and Maya Hawke She plays Drea who is a posh queen with a seemingly perfect boyfriend and wealthy upbringing Rosehill is her only ticket to a bright future But one night she's humiliated by him and in front of the entire student body Her boyfriend is the social king of the school as well as the headmaster and is untouchable She's decided she's had enough and seeks a partner in crime called Elenor She also faced a similar issue with a rumor that ruined her image by a bully named Carissa Both Elenor and Drea decide to take down the ones responsible for ruining their lives bit by bit Drea has always had this anger built up inside tying in knots so eventually she wants to feel better We should channel our anger more towards to getting what we want, does everyone care about status?, is revenge the only thing left to do?, women are limited still by their choices, emotions, and decisions but they can still have the control, sometimes it hurts to exist, rumors are not just harmless little comments, it's okay to stay as lost as you want you don't have to figure out who you want to be immediately even at 17 The film is delicious wicked fun, two charming leads, great songs of old throwback tunes, and has a very big twist turning everything on itself Shows that hatred stems from the smallest acts of cruelty done to people A dark comedy that works with both Mendes and Hawke and loves hearkening back to 90s teen movies while also acting as a satire of the Instagram era It's true too there are sadists that exist feasting off of others pain and misery and embarrassment It's got a flair for the fashion angle too It's refreshing to have a mean girls flick paying homage to the 1990s and at the same time deconstructing it
THE Gen Z mean girls movie. The nods to Cruel Intentions were spectacular, not to mention Maya and Camila's acting was top notch! Movie theme is "Everyone Sucks Here", and yet its somehow a comfort movie for me now. 100/10
