Fast Food, Fast Women Reviews

| Original Score: 2/5 | Apr 4, 2011

Full Review | Original Score: 2/5 | Jul 8, 2005

Audience-insulting. Our heroine has faced no difficulty, learned nothing, earned nothing, but she has a lovely fairy-tale ending that's supposed to make us leave the theater happy.

| Original Score: 1.5/5 | Mar 10, 2003

Despite some lovely moments ... Fast Food Fast Women operates like a sitcom.

| Nov 25, 2002

Just a vain attempt at making a movie about the perils of romance in the modern age.

Full Review | Original Score: 2/5 | Sep 9, 2002

Nothing runs very deep, or very diverting ... in this overplayed, underwritten slice of (love-)life.

Full Review | Jul 12, 2001

There is warmth and empathy at the core of this movie that can overcome everything about it that's frustrating.

| Original Score: 2.5/4 | Jul 9, 2001

Tries hard to be charming, but succeeds only occasionally.

| Original Score: 2/5 | Jul 6, 2001

An incoherent jumble of characters and situations.

| Original Score: 1/5 | Jul 6, 2001

This movie's goofy charm won me over by the time it ended.

| Jul 2, 2001

This small romantic comedy should be applauded for its pleasures.

Full Review | Original Score: 2.5/4 | Jun 29, 2001

Has a vacant, inept, why-oh-why feeling from its opening minutes and only gets worse.

| Jun 29, 2001

Naive as Kollek's writing is, there's something winning about his sympathy with out-of-step characters.

Full Review | Jun 29, 2001

An intimate, small-scale movie in the nicest sense and represents a wholly unanticipated advance on the part of Kollek.

| Original Score: 3.5/5 | Jun 22, 2001

One of those genially paced, character-driven indies, and succeeds as such very well.

Full Review | Jun 21, 2001

Despite a script that occasionally calls for some embarrassingly awkward lines, Kollek's cast generally acquits itself well.

Full Review | Original Score: 2/4 | Jun 19, 2001

For all the off-key notes sounded by this story of an overworked New York waitress, a trio of her customers and a loutish cabbie, it never falls apart.

| Jun 15, 2001

Dreary and dull.

| Jun 15, 2001

An overly familiar, poorly cast and often annoyingly crude New York comedy that never finds its groove.
