Ferrari Reviews

Very good factual movie, great acting and excellent attention to detail. Exhilarating finale!

Supremely forgettable and slow. Felt miscast. Hard to like the characters either -- just didn’t care much about anyone or where the plot plodded around to.

It was okay, but it needed better actors to play the Italian characters. Based on the fact that the movie has Italian characters, they should’ve chosen Italians to play them. Not give us white washed boring trash that is not as exciting to see in action. If this movie was gonna be this disappointing, I would just watch a documentary about Ferrari. Atleast with that, it cuts out the trash & doesn’t dissatisfy me with telling the full history.

Ferrari had a passion for cars and racing, but there was little passion in this movie. Too dispassionate for me.

Beautifully shot film with great actors who work with a tepid plot and a very distracting and unsuccessful use of accents. The story almost felt like watching the middle few episodes of a season of a 온라인카지노추천 show, being plonked in the middle of a story without a clear idea of the stakes involved, or why we are meant to care for the characters. It slowly finds its way but doesn't really come together, which is a shame because it is still an exquisitely crafted film that looks gorgeous.

I am a huge fan of Michael Mann, and this movie was just ok. The big problem was the story. When the movie ended, I thought "that's it?" I feel like this was a 3-hour Michael Mann movie that got chopped down to 2 hours.

A sharp, but unpolished sports family drama biopic about the famed Enzo Ferrari trying to keep his sports car company and 2 crumbling families afloat. Both storylines are interesting and are elevated with strong performances and gripping racing sequences, but both storylines feel like something is missing and as a result the film feels unfocused and a bit jumbled. The Ferrari racecar in particular feels like it needed deeper characterization with the racers and company men to make us more emotionally engaged with that storyline’s conclusion. It feels less impactful and engaging than 2019’s Ford v. Ferrari, or even the recent Iron Claw movie, both of which arguably did a much better job balancing out and intertwining the family drama and sports action elements of their respective storylines. The family affair narrative had some weird kinks at times where it seemed to give Enzo a bit much too slack for just how deep his affairs went while being a bit harsh with how crude they portray his wife, almost treating her like the scary antagonist at times. Though to be fair, she is still portrayed as being in the right for most of the movie (aside from one weird scene with Enzo’s mother) and she gets to lambast him throughout most of the movie with a pretty stellar performance from Penelope Cruz. Adam Driver’s performance was pretty solid as well, with some powerful acting chops near the end of the movie. While I wish the movie could’ve focused more heavily on the racecar aspect of Ferrari’s life, I still appreciate what the family storyline was trying to accomplish and all the solid filmmaking that went into this movie certainly makes this worth watching.

A boring soap opera about the greatest motor racing team manager ever ..... go figure!

Boring!!!! Another way too long movie that had one moment of drama. And even that dramatic moment felt like it came out of nowhere, because it’s significant enough to make a whole movie about, but that’s not what the movie was about… I came in expecting something more stylish and exciting, considering the size of this historical figure and how much the brand means to people, but I just couldn’t understand why this movie needed to be made. There was no clear topic or point of view overarching the story and it failed at making you care about the titular character.

An Unfocused slog to get through, one of missed opportunity. Instead of focusing on the car and driving, it was a melo drama about the man getting yelled at by the women in his life interrupted by intermittent gory crashes for a second before he's back to intercourse and being miserable. Still think the world they developed was good and the acting excellent. But it was a slog. Should have focused on the racing.

This movie is made by the performances of Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz. Both are in amazing form and the makeup department take a bow. I struggled to get into the story, it felt slow and could have been shortened and some of the dialogue and interactions felt really bad. Also, the big crash... it's a pivotal and crucial part but the cgi was bad and it just made it seem less than it should have. Everything was fine, 50% worthy but as I said, it's the 2 leads that carry this

Please stop making Italian movies with a horrible accent. Please use Italian actors and actresses.

I went into Ferrari not entirely sure what to expect but was optimistic with Adam Driver in the lead. As always, Driver delivers a strong, convincing performance. The portrayals of Enzo Ferrari’s family added depth, making the story feel grounded and real. The racing scenes were intense and visually impressive, though the film leans more into drama, focusing on the complexities of Ferrari’s personal life—a storyline he even promises to explain to a reporter. While the movie has powerful moments, especially toward the end, it may not be suitable for young viewers. My heart goes out to those who lost their lives in this relentless pursuit of greatness.

"Ferrari" had potential, but it failed to fully captivate me. As a fan of Adam Driver and F1 racing, I was curious, and the worldbuilding was fantastic—you'll believe you're in that era. However, the film focuses far too much on Enzo Ferrari's marriage and personal drama. I would’ve preferred more emphasis on Ferrari as a businessman and the iconic cars he built. The decision to use American actors with Italian accents instead of casting real Italians felt off, detracting from the authenticity. That said, the racing sequences are incredible and by far the highlight of the movie. Overall, it's a visually stunning film, but it missed the mark for me. Two stars.

Adam Driver is truly remarkable in his role. Very emotive. Cruz is excellent. Nice cars!

Needed something intense to keep me up on my way back from Tokyo to crush jet lag, so I chose this. Unfortunately was a bit boring plot wise beyond the Italian scenery and Penelope killing it. Despite clearly trying, the movie fails to generate any real emotional reaction and I’m not really clear what the point was.

The problem for me was that I just kept seeing Adam Driver and Penelope playing characters, I couldn’t get past it, just didn’t work at all, was too distracting.

Film with a good script and great performances, however, to watch it you need to know a little about Enzo Ferrari's biography.

Well acted and photographed. A must see

"US Dollars" in post war Italy and too many unbelievably flying cars almost ruin a decent movie.
