Glorious Reviews
Director and horror obsessive Rebekah McKendry pays both homage and fromage to H.P. Lovecraft, David Cronenberg and Stanley Kubrick in an enjoyably loopy movie that has a sense of humour and visual style.

As gruesomely hysterical as much of Glorious may be, the foundation of toxic masculinity it’s built upon is anything but silly, McKendry giving it the brutally grisly evisceration it deserves.

Even at 80 minutes, “Glorious” feels four times too long for what it is.

The performances in what is essentially a two-hander remain intriguing, and you’ll never be able to predict where this story is going.

Great casting, stellar camerawork, and a biting sense of splatstick humor make for a surprising new entry in single-location horror. There’s too much restraint in characterization, undermining the punchline a bit, but the cosmic karma is still fun.
