Glorious Reviews

This has to be one of the worst films I’ve ever watched in my life. Pure garbage.

A nice little pot boiler of a horror film. The main character finds himself trapped in a rest room and has an extended conversation with someone in the adjacent cubicle - who turns out to be there for a very unusual reason. Great performance from the lead. Clever story, good pacing and a great combination of horror and comedy. I always enjoy it when a film makes me laugh and feel mildly guilty about laughing. A must for lovers of Lovecraft who have been waiting for a good script that updates the Mythos for a modern audience. Manages to get over the feeling of eldritch horror without disappointing at the end.

Good idea, bad execution. Garbage

It was overly weird but satisfying.

Awesome Lovecraft film. I'm a huge fan of the monsters that cannot be seen premise. It lets imagination take over. Many of Lovecraft's deities are like this. JK Simmons voice carries so well. The guy in the show was pretty good too. The acting was very good imo. With so many Lovecraft movies getting the ultra low budget/bad writing/bad acting treatment it was great to see one that really did check all the boxes. You should definitely watch this. A very original movie. I'd love to see more like this.

Super weird but different and entertaining! Would recommend if you are into weird movies.

Peliculón, sencillamente algo completamente nuevo, distinto, fresco y original.

This movie is a great time. This movie is funny and ridiculous but also manages to be pretty thoughtful and has some very interesting things to say. Great writing, great performances, great jokes, and a thrilling story. It's held back slightly by its below average special effects, but if you don't let them break your immersion, this film is an absolute banger.

Short but oh so sweet. The premise alone was enough to get me to watch it. The "twist" was interesting but I feel like it wasn't set up too well. Overall WELL worth the watch!

This movie was so good, when Gath tried sucking his penis it was too small! HAHAH, target audience reached here! Was scary sometimes and had to close my eyes... BUMMER, but I will say Wes was a very relatable character, especially at the end (no spoilers hehe). I lost a bet and now GRRRR angry, i will need to play some dota 2 to cool off! 4/5 good movie, thought would involve more sex 😊

Say you've just puked in a rest stop men's room, and the elder god in the adjacent stall would like just a moment of your time... J.K. Simmons voices the most sympathetic, sincere, and droll cosmic horror in the universe, played delightfully straight. I found the protagonist's self-absorption (bordering on narcissism) frustrating -- it seemed like a device to run out the clock -- but there's a payoff (that moment of 'Oh, okay. I get it. Cool.') It's not a perfect film, but of all the flawed attempts to put Lovecraftian lore on screen, it's a nutty little gem I'd recommend to anyone.

A well written imaginative story. Puzzling Mysterious but still Convincing. It takes a brilliant mind to draw such a clear picture of a madman's mind. A powerful performance by Ryan Kwanten helped the cause. Excellent visuals relatable yet baffling and twisted. Grotesque imagery is symbolic to the eventual fate of forgettable ones. Great use of background music too revealing the different shades of Wes's character. There's many clues along the way carefully placed until it all make sense once the true identity and nature of Wes is revealed. A captivating horror flick that's for sure worth a watch.

While this film isn't for everyone, it's very enjoyable for those that it resonates with. An ontological horror with wit and a sense of humor which dabbles in cosmic, existential horror. Talking glory hole included free with every viewing!

A man is trapped inside the toilet of a public restroom. A mysterious voice proclaims to be God from the other side of the stall, announcing the fate of the universe is at stake. "Glorious" is a cosmic psychedelic trip that works better as a comedy (although not very funny). Boring and far from being glorious!

Overall, movie lovers who enjoy films with Lovecraftian vibes will enjoy this film's concept, premise, and the disturbing horrors on display. It's a fun idea set in one location for most of its runtime and impressively is carried by only a small cast. The story is fun and engaging and consists of a few reveals, which were pleasing and unexpected upon my first watch. The actor Ryan Kwanten delivers a wild and fun performance, and the voice work of J.K Simmons is tremendous and haunting here. Visually, I love the level of creativity and use of colour and effects, but in the end, while I enjoyed the ride, I couldn't help but want more clarity on certain areas of its story.

Glorious is a Lovecraftian parody of a peculiar kind that knows exactly what it's doing and does it to the end. Extremely fun and entertaining to watch!

It's a satisfying horror-comedy entry if you're looking for one. As a horror-comedy, it's less like Tucker & Dale vs. Evil but more like Mandy (Nicolas Cage), which is a movie I absolutely liked and still think about to this day. It's also not so much a single-location film as others suggested. The story makes full use of the main location (bathroom stall) and the surrounding areas (bathroom sinks, urinal, vents, door, carpark, etc)--not to mention, its mindscape and cosmic references. But unlike Mandy's Nic Cage, this male protagonist is no hero--this is made clear by the end of this film.

Really bad. Like, cosmically bad. Like it hurts to even have to think about what I just saw, bad.

This gets tedious. And bathrooms, especially public ones, are by their very nature really gross. I love me some cosmic horror. I love me some unlikeable characters. I love me some weird. But this one feels a bit too theater to be a movie, and it grows tedious the longer it goes on. It's fine, but, honestly, not even Mr Simmons can make this one as good as it was SUPPOSED to be.
