Golda Reviews
This was an outstanding character study of a unique individual. Helen Mirin was unrecognizable powerful in her depiction of Golda. Recounting the stakes and actions of the Yom Kippur war was timely. The director took no sides -- only depicting the struggles of a leader to survive physically and nationally.
Refreshingly thoughtful, intelligent, sympathetic, and very well done.
acting & makeup & wardrobe were amazing
Fabulous history revealing the heartbreak of the Yom Kippur war. Helen Mirren was fabulous.
Impeccable acting and makeup! Historically Accurate. Deep. Moving. Loved it!
A remarkably powerful movie with a world-class performance by Helen Mirren as Golda Meir. A painfully honest and accurate depiction of the horrors and tragedies of the Yom Kippur war.
Brilliant transformation into Golda Meir. Tense, exciting account of Meirs role in the Yom Kippur War between 6 Arab countries and Israel in 1968.
Helen Mirren is brilliant. Important history to know. Well told in this film. Gripping action. Touching moments. Superb acting and directing. As good as Oppenheimer. We need heroines and heroes nowadays. This hits the spot.
This film is superb! Helen Mirren must win the academy award
Outstanding performances by actors.
Excellent movie. Helen Mirren should be nominated for an Academy award.
Helen Mirren is undeniably gods gift to actresses
Loved it! Such an impressive woman. The film grips you and wont let go until we’ll after you left the theater.
Well done weaving of historical film clips of the real Golda with the movie depiction. Gave me a sense of who the real people were and what an amazing woman Golda Meir was.
I believed it was well played by Merren but there was so much about her life that I thought they missed. Making Moshe Dayan look so weak and Sharon like a pig, was not necessary. They were both amazing soldiers.
I felt claustrophobic because the movie takes place inside almost the whole time. Extremely boring.
Helen Mirren was Oscar worthy
Great acting and Performance
The movie was authentic and showed Golda Meier’s strength, courage and resolute determination in leading her country as Prime Minister to be recognize israel as its own independent country by surrounding forces. Her actions in the Yom Kippur War paved the way for peace talks before her passing on December 8, 1978.
Helen Mirren is pure Golda!
