The only thing I didn't like about this movie is the ghost part of the story. Tim Treakle

very stupid, alright we have michael myers having visions of a white horse and his dead mother??? what is going on in this film, but the kills were great, shitty film though, also I guess were making Michael speak and BE a hobo? the original h2 should of never been remade, this was a waste of a movie..

The only good thing about it was the kills and the acting at most parts

The thing with Rob Zombie's version of Laurie Strode that we learn in this movie is that she's very different. She's more carefree and, seemingly, more evil. Maybe? This movie is essentially a full exploration of her PTSD and a deeper dive into how Michael Myers sees the world. Let's begin! The concept, as previously mentioned, is simple: after a brief homage to the original Halloween II via a dream sequence at a hospital, we see Laurie dealing with the PTSD of the previous movie and trying to move on with life. It goes horribly. This feels kinda like Terrifier 3 in a sense: it's a follow-up to a great slasher film and it's about the main character dealing with trauma, except in Terrifier's case, Sienna has to save her cousin from hell. It's a good concept and great in execution. Laurie is great too. You can see her more carefree attitude that she has in this universe. I mean, she finds out she's Michael's sister, and she goes to a party to take her mind off it instead of staying at home. Fair enough. Also the ending was strange: she's in a white room, and Michael and his mother approach. I still don't fully get what that means, but I'm guessing it suggests that Michael will live on through Laurie. It's just a great movie you can really sink your teeth into. Overall, a fantastic sequel to Rob Zombie's Halloween.

Rob Zombie's "Halloween II" is a bold and unconventional sequel that ventures into uncharted territory for the slasher genre. Despite its flaws, it’s a fascinating watch for those who appreciate a more psychological approach to horror. The film delves deep into the trauma and PTSD experienced by the "Final Girl," offering a nuanced portrayal that’s rarely seen in horror films. This focus on the psychological aftermath is perhaps the movie’s greatest strength, setting it apart from typical slasher fare. The cast, especially Scout Taylor-Compton as Laurie Strode, delivers strong performances that add depth to the characters. However, the film’s relentless brutality and grim tone can be a double-edged sword. While it aims to explore the lasting impact of violence, the excessive gore and bleakness might be off-putting for some viewers. Zombie’s unique vision and willingness to take risks with the franchise are commendable. He steps away from the usual formula, adding a surreal and almost arthouse-like quality to the film. This artistic direction, while intriguing, might not resonate with everyone. Some scenes linger longer than necessary, focusing on the disturbing rather than the frightening. In the end, "Halloween II" is not your typical horror sequel. It’s a daring attempt to redefine a classic, blending intense psychological themes with visceral horror. For fans of the genre who are open to a different kind of horror experience, this film is worth a watch. Just be prepared for a journey that’s more disturbing and introspective than it is terrifying.

A senseless and lifeless continuation of Rob Zombie Halloween, Halloween II loses its plot amidst Michael Myers’ relentless murder spree, random sequences of Michael Myers and his ghost mother instruct him to continue killing, solely to extend Sheri Moon Zombie’s screen time, Laurie Strode, the iconic final girl, weakens and loses her sense of direction. Grading: D-

Another great addition to the Halloween franchise. I can tell Rob Zombie had a love for these movies, he did a fantastic job in putting his spin on them while staying faithful to the originals. Like ive said many times with Rob Zombies movies, Haters will Hate no matter how good the movie. The biggest thing that i hate from all the hate is Rob Zombie will eventually just say Feck it and we wont get any of these amazing horror movies from an amazing storyteller.

Michael Myers returns to life once again, with the brutal intent to reach his little sister Laurie Strode. As this is happening, Dr. Loomis has turned into the new Gale Weathers profiting off of other peoples miseries by writing a book about it. I didn't like that Michael was wearing a hood basically the whole time, and for most of the movie it was just him traveling back to Haddonfield to get his revenge. The second film doesn't even come close to beating the remake done in 2007. Rob Zombie does know how to deliver one hell of a brutal movie, with every kill being over the top. Overall, I was really dissapointed of how this movie turned out because the remake in 2007 was actually good.

Rob Zombie takes a lot of bold swings with this movie... I can't help but enjoy a lot of them. Myers is arguably at his scariest and most brutal, but also is extremely different and unique in this film. Scout Taylor Compton does a great job playing a traumatized Laurie Strode, and the reveal that she is linked to Myers via Loomis' book was brilliantly written. Even Rob Zombie's dialogue is toned way down. Take out the Sheri Moon Zombie ghost weirdness and Myers speaking and this movie is good and bold Halloweeen movie.

As a fan of the original movies I avoided The Rob Zombie reboot but finally saw them, wish I had not . Didn’t think anything could be worse then Zombie’s first one but some how this one sucks even more. In the whole Halloween series this one is even worse then Halloween 3: Season of the Witch… That says a lot

I will admit that I do admire Rob Zombie taking a big swing to do something different with Halloween II. But holy smokes is it dreadful, from top to bottom. Because he filmed in Georgia, the locale looks nothing like small town Haddonfield. The violence is brutal, but without any feeling or perverse joy behind it. The entire Loomis "book tour" angle is painfully unfunny (Weird Al Yankovic cameo notwithstanding). And the less said about the visions of Michael's dead mother the better. Only the hospital sequence near the beginning (RIP to Octavia Spencer's nurse), in a nod to the original Halloween II, was interesting. The rest was a complete wreck.

This is the most underrated movie in the franchise and one of the most underrated horror movies ever

Zombie’s “Halloween II” is a brutal, unsettling, and impactful reimagining of the Michael Myers and Laurie Strode saga that garners respect for its fearless vision.

Somehow this one was worse than the first one. Had to remind myself while watching the whole time that this was even a Halloween movie. The entire storyline of Michaels mother is stupid and uncalled for. Plus, what's Zombie's obsession with every woman being at least half naked?!

Not as great as the first but not bad either.

What hell did I watch? Horrible screen writing, back dialogue. Some cool scenes, Rob Zombie has some great cinematography shots in his films, but an unnecessary sequel and not very good. D-

The actual worst in the franchise, more people need to accept that.

Extremely violent and at times I feel it loses it's self. The stuff with his mom is dumb and lazy writing.I feel zombie just made this because he was under contract. The violence is above average and only redeeming thing.None of the cast you care about... especially the main girl.

Halloween 2 is the product of Rob Zombie when he is given complete creative control, which can be both beneficial and detrimental. In this film, Laurie Strode's mental state deteriorates, while Michael becomes more violent than ever before. The sequel offers a distinctive approach to the expected formula, introducing intriguing elements throughout. It also makes the bold choice of omitting the iconic theme song until the end credits, but you're that invested in the movie that you hardly notice. The score is fantastic and fits the movie very well. Rob Zombie definitely went in to set this movie apart from the rest and he very much succeeded.
