Halloween Ends Reviews

Apr 24, 2025

It’s an alright movie, definitely the weakest of the three. Thought that certain concepts were pretty intriguing, but lacked proper execution. It is one of those movies that you will watch again, just to see if you missed a few things. Unfortunately, I don’t think that you do.

Great for people wanting to watch a Halloween that disrespects Michael Myers. I am still waiting for the real movie to come out, because this isn't it. There is a severe disconnect from the films before this one. It felt like a parody sequel. It's sad, because the first two movies of the trilogy were fantastic! And James Jude Courtney is the second best Michael Myers we have had so far! It's disappointing that they wasted is talent in whatever story this was supposed to be. I don't know about you. But when I watch any Halloween movie, I am watching for Michael Myers. So, if you are like me, then this movie is not for you. You will wish you could forget it. Save yourself and rewatch literally any other Halloween movie besides this one. (Halloween 3 doesn't count. If you know you know. Still better though.)

Who cares what the uptight critics think. This is the Halloween franchise, it's supposed to have elements of mystery, the unknown and what if. I thought they did a great job pulling it all together, and Jamie was spot-on. Glad she wasn't as disheveled as they made her in Halloween Kills.

People should go to jail for what they did to this franchise. Just awful, incoherent made for cable garbage. And when you see simpletons in here actually thinking this was good? A truly depressing comment on society. Just boggles my mind why producers embrace the Michael character, but then package him in these garbage type of films that have zero to do with the original films.

Very and I mean very disappointing

Wow. Just... wow. I never expected to like Halloween Ends this much, but it's like everything fell into place. It's fantastic, and at this point in time, after my first viewing of it, it's my favourite of the sequels. Sure, it's a bit unconnected to the other H40 Trilogy entries, but it feels like it wraps up the franchise and trilogy fairly decently, albeit in an unexpected way. Let's get into it. This movie taps into two of my favourite themes of the franchise: evil and trauma. Let's start with evil, represented mostly through Corey. Corey had a rough life, and Michael saw this, sparing him as he could see the evil he would cause. And he does. You know what they say: "The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth". And Corey basically does that. It shows that the evil inside Michael Myers can corrupt anyone, and I liked that theme. It's why I liked the ending of Halloween 4 so much. Because this isn't a series about Michael. It's a series about evil. And Michael's aspects were good too, which tapped into the trauma side of things more. After her daughter died in Halloween Kills, Laurie was traumatised, and while she put on a calm façade, she's clearly traumatised, even trying to kill herself. But after Corey is dealt with, Michael, who was using Corey, decides to deal with her himself, and they fight. It's a short fight and could feel pathetic, sure, but I saw it as Laurie confronting her trauma and realising that Michael is just one person. And one weak person at that. The fight feels climatic to me, and the scene with the shredder tops it off nicely, showing the town basically moving on from their trauma with Michael. And with that, they can begin to heal. This is purely subjective, by the way. I can see why people dislike it, but I liked it, and that's all that matters to me right now. Overall, a fantastic and unexpectedly good sequel to Halloween that just feels satisfying to me.

Worst movie of the franchise. It simply ruined the Myers story and the franchise. It's 🗑️🤢

Halloween Ends was crazy! The opening scene had me surprised! I can't believe it took them 40 years just to get rid of Michael Myers! I loved Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, Halloween: Resurrection, Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills, and Halloween Ends! Best movies ever!

I think this is the worst of the recent Halloween's, the fact that was more focused on others characters and not Laurie and Michael was a downgrade for me

honestly just stop making them. That simple.

No blood, no violence, no prospect. Michael he got nerfed. I hated this movie.

Entertainment that finally (hallelujah!) puts an end to the trilogy that started out very promising and was a success and that, unfortunately, continued without ending or ending. A shameful “retirement” for horror film icon Michael Myers, but eventually everything ends and now, “Halloween ends”!

What wasted potential. 2018 was good, not great, but by far the best sequel. Kills lived up to the hype. Ends crushed any dreams of a great trilogy. After multiple watching s, I still don't know what I watched. I know it wasn't a Halloween movie. Michael was turned into a tired old man. What a disappointment DGG

This movie was fire and still is.

It was nice of David Gordon Green to give Michael Myers a cameo in this movie.

Halloween Ends in a catastrophic trainwreck for fans like myself, transforming it into an uninteresting indie RomDram, shifting the focus from the Myers family curse to a new, uninteresting protagonist, or I guess an eventual antagonist, coupled with Michael Myers’ unexpected emotional connection, leaving the film series’ core element unresolved. Grading: F

Not just a weak, horrible send off for Michael. The movie is an insult to horror fans

Feb 4, 2025

This was a total dud, what's the point of having Micheal survive the 2nd film if he was going to barely be a factor in This movie? They tried to set up some other kid as the new Micheal or something like that but nobody asked for that or wanted it, and defeats the purpose of the 2nd and even the first film. Just a total waste of film and time.

Worst movie made of the Halloween franchise honestly was boring most of it the good part really was when Michael and he's sister fight at the end it was mostly base on someone else for the last Halloween movie I would of thought it would of been base more on Michael but no!!! They made this movie terrible🤮
