Hanna Reviews
Comfortably the worst film I have watched in recent years. Redeeming features? Hard to find any. Cate’s hair?
Stylish assassin film with some good scenes and elements that drag a little. Watched on Netflix.
Best known for period pieces like Atonement and Pride & Prejudice, Hanna feels like a bit of a departure for director Joe Wright. Raised in isolation by her father (Eric Bana) in a remote area of Finland, Hanna (Saoirse Ronan) has been raised to be a lethal assassin, her purpose in life to kill the woman who murdered her mother. On a journey that takes her from Morocco to Germany, the young girl tries to adapt to a world she doesn’t understand while maintaining focus on her ultimate goal of revenge. While Ronan’s performance is the main reason to watch, it’s also impressive how Wright manages to transition from sedate, deliberately paced drama in his previous efforts to wildly unhinged action set pieces in a thriller that manages to hold the viewer’s attention throughout.
Saorise Ronan is fantastic as always, but I simply couldn't find much of a point to this shoot-em-up action thriller.
Quirky but not always in a good way. Frustrating and ridiculous at times but no doubt very enjoyable if you can somehow just turn off your brain and not be annoyed by the continuous flow of point to point leaping around and coincidences. The directing tries WAY too hard to be nouveau. Accents aren't great either.
The acting was decent and I didn't mind the story line, however I could have easily fast forwarded about 45 minutes of the movie without effecting the plot or enjoyability in any way (in fact it would have been far better). It would have made a better limited series on Netflix.
Loved it. Some great cinematography and stand out performances from a really strong cast.
I’ve always love this film. Some think the plot is a little outlandish, but think of it as a predecessor to Stranger Things hidden labs holding exceptional human kids to continue their experimental expansions. Hanna in a sense was designed to be the next wave of the human soldier/agent bred by a government agency & stolen away by the agents who were to produce her & train her into an ultimate killing machine. I always wished there was a sequel occurring years later after Hanna has grown into an adult. As the pursuit of Hanna would continue despite the death of Wiegler. It would be a serious reckoning for an agency & all its agents trying to capture and control this uncontrolled wilful experiment.
Whilst Saoirse Ronan and most other cast members are engaging enough from the first moments, the plot, or weird excuse for a plot is off putting. I like watching movies I know nothing about to see how they engage me. This movie takes its time in threading us into its intrigues, due to its lack of a clear plot. By the time we begin to get enough idea of what the plot is, Saoirse has intrigued us so much it is more than obvious how she won so many awards for her presence and performance. What a great talent. A pleasure to watch. This movie grew on me inch by inch until the end. Interesting film making from a thoughtful and artful director.
The 온라인카지노추천 series is one of my favourite shows of all time, but had never watched the movie until now. While the movie is good, the series is better.
Great, if far fetched story. Great acting even is Saoirses accent is a bit off putting. Super thriller about a young girl who has been trained to survive, being cast into the world when her father is taken. Well worth watching
This movie promised a whole lot more than it delivered. I was very intrigued by the cover / thumbnail photo. And the plot summary sounded great. I was so happy to see the opening scenes indicating that this was going to be a great experience. But then, with each passing moment of this (fairly short) film, something seemed to get lost. Increasingly the movie felt like it somehow lost a vision and finally, by the end, I was frankly a bit angry that I used up my time watching it. What a disappointment.
Tem uma ideia boa e ótimo enredo, porém atuações um pouco fajutas.
Suspenseful and intriguing but I have a lot of unanswered questions.
Just simply not good. I kept waiting for things to improve but they never did. I appreciate the attempt with what they tried to do with music and camera work but it was not enough to make this movie worth watching.
Ok action movie and all
Hanna, The Soloist, and even Cyrano share a point of view where we see through the eyes of the character, but from the outside, realizing things that they themselves do not. It's a subtle difference Joe Wright brings to his movies that gives a reality and interest missing in many overly produced movies. If you enjoy getting into the head of characters through actions rather than from narrative then you enjoy these
A new take on the child molded to become a killer. The actress who plays the lead is excellent, as are the other actors. Scenery is beautiful and the action sequences are well done. Always good to see women in lead roles.
Hanna 2011. Interesting elements with almost zero story. I like the cast but the script gave them nothing to work with. I am not normally so harsh but do yourself a favor and watch something else. The rating of 6.5 to 7 are not remotely justified by this runaway train to nowhere. I feel I may have rated it too high with 1.5 stars.
Potential, great actors wasted on what could have been a good drama. Not satisfied with result.
