Horns Reviews

Feb 9, 2025

This movie goes on a roller coaster from comedy, to horror, to drama and back again. Very well done. My only gripe was the amount of sexual content Ina short span, that felt like they needed it there so found a way to get it all in quickly. Otherwise it was a pretty decent film.

A wild fantasy movie, something different for sure. Flip a coin you may like it you may not.

This was not a good movie. I know that I basically only watched it because of Daniel Radcliffe, but I was hoping there'd be something in there aside from him that made this worth it. To me, there was not. At least Guns Akimbo (another bad movie starring Radcliffe) was kinda fun in its absurd silliness. And there were moments that I could laugh at certain parts that I do not think were meant to be laughed at, but it wasn't enough to save it in my eyes. This felt like a student film with a bit more budget.

Radcliffe will do just about anything to get out from the shadow of Harry Potter. Sometimes that is bad, and sometimes good. I liked this film quite a bit. Mostly on an emotional level, this is a tale of true love, betrayal and revenge. This is totally catering to the emo younger crowd. Throw in the weird fantasy elements, and you certainly have an unconventional love story. Yeah there were a few too many twists and turns in the murder mystery, and most of them you could see coming, but easy to overlook all that.

I didn’t like it I found the story interesting and the premise of the horns and powers super cool but the assault sence with Lee really sucked it just made me hate the entire movie and especially Lee that evil bad person just way to realistic and way to horrifying brought back a little ptsd plus the pain see was in like I just hated and was depressed during this entire thing so I would not recommend this for someone who is a survivor of SA but for anyone else into mystery and horror movies go for it

Different. Different in a good way. Turned into a murder mystery (which I'm always game for) mixed with fantasy elements. A little bit too out there to have repeat value, but I was not disappointed.

Good movie. Watched it 9 years ago, and read the book. Saw all the bad reviews and started watching it again to make sure. Nope, most of the reviews are wrong, it is a good movie.

This was an underdog movie. It had aspects of horror, fantasy and drama. The psychological suspense really brings this film into a different category. Very good movie.

I haven't read the book, but this concept was begging for a funnier and more chaotic film.

Not really sure how this film isn't fresh. Its ironic that as soon as the Harry Potter franchise ended we really get to see Radcliffe's acting ability shine. He's really great in this role and it is incredibly dark, funny, and unique in many ways. I highly recommend it.

I don't understand the low critic and audience ratings for this film. It's genuinely a brilliant story cleverly adapted from the novel and succeeds in taking the viewer through a disturbing emotional journey with a fantastic finale! An absolutely original and exciting film with a great performance from Daniel Radcliffe, believe it or not.

Despite the movie's interesting premise, the actual plot becomes an uninspiring tonal mishmash, with the whole structure leaning heavily on an awful misunderstanding that the movie fails to convey as anything but trite. You could say that the love story is endearing and tragic, but the whole "love for the rest of my life, but not really because I know what's best for you" makes it seem forced to me. What doesn't help is the acting. It's either middling in quality across the board or, as in the case of Daniel Radcliffe, haphazard. He can certainly show heartbreak and mournfulness, but the character is clearly meant to be a bit of a ruffian, and he just doesn't cut it. I do not believe any of his posturings in the later parts of the movie.

Whilst it may struggle to fit everything from the novel into its two hour run time, I felt that this was a highly entertaining and unique film, blending numerous different genres with Daniel Radcliffe giving the best performance I've seen from him Post-Potter.

Daniel Radcliffe once again has some kind of mark on his forehead, way to go POTTER edit: sweet lord he talks to snakes too.....

A supernatural whodunnit. But too odd to make sense. A mix of random ideas that didn't add up to a coherent whole.

Very well thought out and phenomenal. I'm not a fan of fake critics that feel the need to put down a masterpiece because of some self righteous nonsense. I absolutely loved every minute of this movie. Originality, creativity, and the acting was great on every level. The visual quality was also phenomenal and so was the storyline; everyone really blended into their character. Well done!

Alexandre Aja twisted at the end of the movie to his roots. The movie may be dark fantasy or whatever, but the true question is, how much truth, our darkest and deepest secrets can a person stand. Do we really want to know any of it?
